First time I ever been here, worked out at the gym with a friend. Wanted to get a beer at the lion , it was closed. The ally bar turned out to be a great Bar full of friendly people. Had a mug, and as we were leaving they have a nice heated over hang were people can set out side. A homeless lady started to play a guitar with amazing skill, so we set and chatted a bit, went to rockets pizza , and then returned to the ally bar till close. Made for a pleasant unexpectedly enjoyable evening, when originally only planned to hit the gym. Definitely will be back, cheers!!

Here for a week and I have been here most nights. Great little locals bar, not a college bar for the most part. Bartenders freindly and the local as are accepting of “outsiders” as well. Great prices as well.

The Alley Bar is the "Cheers" of Bloomington. We are lucky to have it and it's always a fun place to hang out. The staff is friendly and they have the best Bloody Marys in town. Love this place!

Ginger red beard Paul Bunyan bartender Ask me to leave after 2 hours of being there and spending a lot of money and buying regulars drinks I was asked to leave because someone handed me their ID because I was standing by the front door and he thought I was the bouncer so I played it off looked at their ID and they came in they were older then me im 45 but anyway I think Paul Bunyan seen me talking to a few ladies and started to feel some type of way, and asked me to leave I was having a blast up until he asked me to leave the premises This could have been a regular thing this bar could have made a little bit more money in the future off of me because I was surely having a good time but it's no thing but a chicken wang there are more watering holes in...

This business made me feel I’m not welcome to dine at their establishment. I was accused of harassing and bothering a fellow customer at their establishment. When I asked for details on who it was and when it happened I was told it did not matter and I needed to leave the establishment immediately. On my short out of town visit of being there I cannot think of who this individual would have been and when the event occurred. To this date I have not received any clarity on what exactly I’ve done wrong and have been treated as if I’m guilty until proven innocent. If there is something I’ve done wrong I would love nothing more than to right my wrongs but to this date I’m not allowed into their establishment for no obvious...

I would give negative stars if I could. Flew in from NJ to celebrate Hoosier hysteria with my alumni boyfriend. We both visited 2 bars prior (1 drink at each bar) we came to do pull off tickets and have 1 drink before heading back to the Hyatt across the street. They let me in and I ordered for my boyfriend and I, after being served they told me they wouldn’t let my boyfriend in because he was “stumbling.” Which is ridiculous because he was more sober than myself. We will never come back. Was a damper on our entire trip. This is a bar he visited frequently during his time at IU. We will...
