This place was something else. We came to this restaurant to enjoy authentic salvadorian. We walk in and the music being played is only Mexican song after Mexican song. We needed to order the food at the register and pay right after. We ordered our food and we got a yuca frita with chicharrón. I’m all places we have ordered this before the sauce and curtido are given separately. My yuca was drenched in the sauce and curtido making it mushy and sloppy. The small pieces of chicharrón were more skin than meat. Bad plate overall. We order tamal de elote fried with crème. The crème tasted extremely sour and did not eat it. The pupusas were asked to be revueltas but when you open them all you see is beans and cheese. Where is the meat portion to this?? Idk. The pupusas did not have a good taste. The waitress was nice but she didn’t come and ask if everything was okay there were busy gossiping with the cook. This restaurant is not a representation to Salvadorian Food. This is not the place to go at all. They need to work on the food prep. Because things are salty , drenched in sauce or just mediocre taste overall.

The carne de la plancha was cooked good but could have been a bit bigger cut of meat. The pupusas especial were good but expected a bit more meat. The service was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. Overall would come back but only for the street fare foods and bakery options.

Food was great! Service was friendly but a bit slow. The ambiance was good. Clean dining area and great selection of food you know and love. Next time i will try the #pupusas This time all I had was the #empanada and the #Kolashanpan #recommended #bechego

This was my first time coming in to this location. I usually go to the guanaco in lake street. I unfortunately had a bad experience at this location. I was so excited to get my pupusas. I came in and looked at other things in the menu because I wanted to try something new. I asked the cashier about there tamales he told me their chicken. I said just chicken ? Any seasoning or salsa that’s in there ? He told me “we aren’t like Mexicans” I found that disrespectful. Not to mention I am Mexican. I bought 5 pupusas a 3 revuelta and 2 pork with cheese. I payed for my food and waited around 30 minutes.(honestly there was no people in there just me (I got there first) and another couple) Which I usually wait 15 minutes at the lake street location. Anyways,I took my food home and when I started eating it I noticed the rice pupusas didn’t have anything in there it literally was a tortilla. So my curiosity I looked and my other ones. Basically had 2 pupusas with nothing in it and 3 pupusas with barely chicarrón and cheese beans. Overall I will not return to this location I will definitely keep going to the one in lake street they are quick efficiently and respectful to their customers. ALSO THEIR...

Que mal experiencia. The service was horrible!! The other reviews commenting on the poor customer service are 100% correct! As a business owner, and someone who has worked years in the service industry, I would be appalled to have some of these women as employees. Absolutely no customer service skills. (Aside from the young lady who took our order at the register. She was very nice and seemed to be trying her best) We also waited over 40 minutes to get our food. We only ordered 9 pupusas, that's it. 6 other tables got their food before us despite all coming after us. When we asked when our food was coming, the response was "it takes time to make pupusas." Never mind the fact other tables who came in well after us got their pupusas first. The pupusas were good but due to the lack of customer service, we won't be back and won't be recommending...
