I can’t even give this place 1 star! I’m absolutely disgusted with how I was treated by the bouncer! I wasn’t even drunk, actually it was the 1st bar I went to… didn’t pregame COMPLETELY SOBER!!!!!!!!! Mind you I’m also 25 and have gone to multiple bars in Indy! I was already super Skeptical about going to Btown bars w all the students but wanted to push through! There were about 4 steps ( mind you we literally just had an ice storm as well, the ground was completely covered as well as their stairs with ice ) anyways! I waited in line for 20 mins in the cold! Again I’m completely sober! As I’m walking down the stairs to get into the bar I slipped on the last step, the bouncer immediately said I was NOT welcomed and I was way too drunk mind you those were his exact words! My friend tried to go without me so she could start her fun Saturday then he told her she wasn’t welcomed even without me!!! I’m absolutely disgusted with how I was treated and it was carried on to my friend! This is exactly why you most definitely Shouldn’t have students as your bouncers LOL should’ve asked his name but I was so upset and felt so weird! He was tall ,younger looking, brown hair, slim body… I will never come here again and have already reached out to management! I just felt like sharing this in case others have experienced this or it was simply an IU student that has zero knowledge. Either way btown bars suck! Go to Indy!!! Better people, better bars,...

Me and my friends just went in to have a drink and dance together. Before even walking up to the bar the bouncer grabbed my shoulder and told me I was too drunk to be in the bar. I had only had one drink prior to this. Then the bar tender told my friend who was getting us drinks that he would not serve us because he could "see it in his eyes". I'm literally writing this the night of, we are not intoxicated. The tender and the bouncer wanted us out for some reason. We were very respectful and asked if we could at least stay to dance and hang out but were denied. We came with my girlfriend and she was not told anything. Makes me think they didn't want some boys in there or something. I have no idea lol. It was completely ridiculous and the root cellar has completely lost my respect. I really wish you could have seen the interaction, it was completely uncalled for. Terrible establishment. Would rather pay $10 to go to Kilroys and hang out with the lame...

Had a super strange experience here. I have a state issued driver's license and the college dude door guy decided not to let me in because "my ID did not glow enough" Lol. Okay, whatever. We went elsewhere but was a super weird experience. Management, if you read this, I would like to bring your attention to whoever was at the door on November 27 at about 11:30.
