I had dinner with my friends here. We ordered three dishes, and yes, they tasted very good until I found this thing from the beef hot pot. When we almost finished eating, I chewed something very hard, and I even thought it was my tooth since it hurt. I spit out and tried to figure out what that was. It was small, black, and very hard. It was obviously a plastic part from their appliance or something, not the food ingredient. The server went inside the kitchen with the part and the dish, and they offered a dessert, which we refused. We wanted them to take our dish out, but the chef insisted and said no. He did not come out and check, and he did not apologize. What if we already swallowed microplastics and our teeth just missed other ones? What if I hurt my teeth? I wanted that black plastic back, but the server told me he had already thrown it somewhere right after seeing the piece and said it's a PEPPER. Does it really look like a pepper? If I didn't take the picture before giving it to them, I wouldn't even have the evidence. He was yelling and shouting the whole time until we left the store. He mistreated the serving girl, too. This was what one of my Chinese friends understood while we were there: "I am not going to return the money for this dish, that is ridiculous and just unreasonable. If they want to find the piece of thing again, ask them to come find it themselves. I don't want them to come to the restaurant again. Remember their face and don't let them come again" Why couldn't he just admit and apologize? I am not going back to the restaurant, I feel sorry for the server, too.

Read moreThe food was good, but the service was stupendously bad! When we first arrived no one greeted us. After a short wait some people sitting at the far table motioned us with their hands to sit somewhere. We went to a table and a man came out and told us to sit at another table based on our party of four. We ordered an appetizer, four dishes and a pot of tea. After a reasonable wait the appetizer and one of the dishes came out. It was quite a while before another person's dish came out. After a longer wait my husband's dish came out and we both shared that with the rice. It wasn't until the end of the meal that we caught the waiter's attention for the fourth entree. We asked him to package it "to go" as we were finished with the meal. The tea was too weak, barely flavored. But they had put the tea leaves loose in the pot. So we let it steep and got a good cup of tea. Of course, since the leaves were still in the pot, the tea got stronger and more bitter the longer it sat. The tea should have been steeped in the kitchen before hand, or put in a tea infuser that could be lifted out when done. All in all this was a disappointing visit. But the...
Read moreWent to dinner with my father at Uncle Wangs. Upon arrival, I felt a little excited to try what seemed like a quaint hole in the wall chinese joint. As we walked in there were about 12 tables and over half of them were still dirty from past diners. We ordered the pork and cabbage dumplings, wonton soup, scallion cakes, and we each got a dry pot. I had the beef dry pot and my father had the shrimp dry pot. The dumplings were overcooked, mushy and falling apart. The scallion cakes were bland and very greasy, like they were deep-fried. The wonton soup was surprisingly better. The broth had good flavor and the wontons had some bite. The beef drypot was the most disappointing. It was placed in front of me and looked and smelled delicious, unfortunately though, there were way too szechuan peppercorns. Every bite was riddled with them causing more than a unpleasant numbing sensation in my mouth. Nearly inedible. My fathers shrimp dry pot was bland and over spiced. We couldnt finish either of our entrees. Will...
