Epic Fail: On 05/10/21 at approx. 7:57pm I took my mother-in-law to Wendy's in Blue springs. First we are greeted with several disclaimers by the female on the speaker: "...cash only, card machine down" (ok, no worries), "...no baked potatoes...no chili" (ok, not what we were after), something else was unavailable but I forget what that was. So we place the order, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger , two unsalted fries and two frosty's "...our frosty machine is not working" we were told (ok, it happens), our total was $7.03. Pull up and two friendly females greet us and exchange payment. While handing the change back to my mother-in-law, one female asks if we could pull forward (ok, done that lots of times...however no one was in line behind us).
So we pull forward to the railing/door and have some conversation with her. At approx. 8:14pm I remarked, "I think they forgot us". One other car came through the drive thru during that time and appeared to had only ordered a soft drink. So I exit to go in and see what happened. The door is locked, so unless I want to walk to the other side of the building to get it I had to go back through the drive thru. So I backed up about 6o feet or so and asked one of the females if they forgot us, we had been waiting for about 12-15 minutes. She looked completely confused. I refreshed her memory what we ordered and the total was $7.03, we were asked to pull forward. A light bulb came on in her eyes, either she realized she forgot us or someone else did. She apologized numerous times and within 20-30 seconds our order was ready, including unsalted fried. I asked how we were forgotten, the order is on the screen, didn't anyone sack it to bring out? She said someone must had thought the order already went out and cleared it. (Only 1 vehicle in the time frame went thru).
Oh wait, they weren't done with us yet...we get out of the parking lot and start on the fries (who waits till they get home?) They were nasty, like cigarette butt in your coffee nasty! Just an educated guess but I would say the fries were sitting the basket and they double dunked them/reheated. They were greasy, hard and crispy...just nasty. A complete waste of 20 minutes of our lives I'll never get back.
The last time I received service like that I told my wife that place will soon be out of business. Guess what, Long John Silvers (Lee's Summit) closed it's doors. That place went down hill and people noticed by taking their...
Read moreSo this place used to have pretty friendly and fast service, especially for breakfast. However, over the past several years it has been steadily declining. Today I went through the drive-through to get my family some breakfast (two sides of biscuits & gravy, a number 1, a number 9, and an extra order of large seasoned potatoes). From the moment I pulled up to the ordering station till I left I was treated as an inconvenience. They also messed up on my order. When I checked my bags before leaving the parking lot I noticed the sandwich for the number 1 was missing. Since the drive-thru was empty I reversed to the window to explain my situation but no one was in sight. So I reversed to the ordering station. When I informed them of my missing item, I was told "look in the bag, it is in there." When I politely explained that it was not, I was promptly told to "pull forward". Sure enough, they had not given me my entire order. They had left the bag with my sandwich sitting on the counter. The lady handed it to me and without a word literally slammed the window shut in my face. There was no apology for not delivering my order correctly or for being wrong about me having my full order.
When I got home I realized they also didn't give me my order of seasoned potatoes for one of the two meals. Also, the sandwich for the number one was missing the honey and bacon. However, due to the poor quality of service, I decided not to return and instead write this review.
I hope the management of this place figures out a way to turn it around, but given the current trajectory, it could...
Read moreEvery time I go to this Wendy's location I have to wait in line forever! It's not fast food at all!!! Definitely Don't go here if your in a hurry!! They always say they are out of baked potatoes, tonight was the 4th time!! My boyfriend asked if they were out or if they just needed to cook one & they told him they were out so he then asked for a side salad & they then said they were also out of salad!! They were rude, didn't offer an apology or any type of compensation. When my boyfriend got home & told me about the situation I called to get corporates number & was told they are "privately owned & not part of corporate." The manager i spoke to also at first told me that they were out of potatoes (the potatoes are the main reason why I even go to Wendys) After giving him a piece of my mind about the whole situation & them being "out of potatoes" for the 4th time! He flipped it to they have them but it would take an hour to cook them so he lied to my boyfriend & myself because they didn't want to cook the potatoes!! I mean come on! I don't believe they were out of salad either, I'm sure they just didn't want to put one together! Its simply horrible customer service & a terrible look for Wendys! I'm looking up corporates phone number to share the experience I had with this location so they are aware. "Privately owned" or not the building still has the Wendy's name on it & I'm sure they don't want to lose customers due to this supposed privately owned location being lazy jerks, not offering half the menu bc they don't feel like it & having no customer...
