A modern asian restaurant with great service and food for all to enjoy. As the name of the restaurant suggests, you can create your own bento box that comes with noodles, salad, and your entree's meat related dish with white/brown rice. Or if you'd like, you could order bowls(including the delicious tuna bowl)/sushi rolls of your own choice with a variety of options to choose from, whether you want sushi rolls to become a combo or whether you'd want noodles over rice in a bowl with broth. The best part? The milk tea and slushies being the icing on the cake, a perfect way to complement any meal of choice. No dessert needed considering how much of a treat the slushies and milk tea are.
As for personal experiences, in terms of dine-in and takeout, the service and delivery of food is very fast and convenient. While in person, I've decided to eat inside the restaurant with my family, which happened to be quite sanitary and up to date with regulations concerning covid. I've ordered the Katsu Chicken Bowl with white rice, steamed broccoli, and Japanese Curry, one of the multiple curry options you can pair in your Katsu Bowl. The curry comes on the side whether for takeout or dine-in, usually to keep the katsu chicken crispy than soggy, which is fairly great to retain a more crisp chicken, which is to my liking. The chicken itself is finely breaded with panko bread crumbs, fried but not greasy, and seasoned enough for a good taste. But on its own, it's just chicken. However, the curry is the game changer that enhances the chicken itself and even the rice as curry can seep into it. Having the curry poured over, the dish itself becomes very flavorful and enhanced, so delicious that even the more simple components such as the broccoli or rice absorb some of the curry and consequently taste even better than I could ever imagine. If I had to describe, rice and broccoli is rice and broccoli. But with some curry? Those components become a flavorful sensation even though the katsu is the main highlight of the bowl. Lastly, after such a great meal, I usually order the milk tea. I often order the honeydew or mango flavored milk teas with honey boba. If I order a slush, my fan favorite would be the lychee slush. With of course, honey boba. All in all, I've had a fair amount of great experiences with the food and service, and I will always look forward to coming back here...
Read moreI am a regular customer and have referred customers. Service is much quicker now. (used to be 15-25 min and now 10 min if its not busy). Both managers accomodate me and listen to feedback which is a rarity for restaurants in Florida. Poke bowl is a great concept as you can customize it based on your likes/dislikes. Spicy beef soup is tasty. Sushi is decent but commercial. Pao Pao chicken is good but Pao Pao shrimp is mostly breading. Portions are good and food is fresh. This is a pan-asian style restaurant and not authentic asian food but very tasty. For authentic Korean I go to Tacowa and for great Vietnamese I go to Pho VN and for Thai food, Sushi Thai Fusion or the best curries in Deerfield Beach at Thai Sushi Express. ( Both Thai restaurants were not well named but express has a time honored family recipe for curry and the fusion restaurant has chefs who worked in a 4-star hotel in Thailand) The Bento Box was mostly carbs and not what I expected considering the name of the restaurant. Check your Poke before you leave. In the last month I had a bowl that had extra ingredients that i clearly did not order, tonight they forgot my sauce and added carrots which I did not order (second time they have done this ) and a few weeks ago i ordered a Large Poke bowl which had the same portion size as a medium. Again, the managers are great and looking to fix things. Because the menu is quite extensive and Poke orders are customized the ordering procss does not make sense. I once waited 10 min for one single customer to complete her order. During busy times they should have order takers walking the line with tablets taking orders and customers can pay at the cash or through a swipe on a tablet. This concept has the potential to be a great fast casual one. Would be nice if they set up a sushi bar with seating. Staff is also friendly. Good for the...
Read moreBENTO Asian Kitchen + Sushi — a Florida-based fast-casual Pan-Asian chain founded by brothers Jimmy and Johnny Tung and run by their privately held Bento Management Group — sits somewhere between Poke Bros and Pei Wei in style and quality. Orders are placed through their app or at in-store kiosks, with a modern, bright dining space and quick-service pace.
We met friends here after dropping their daughter at Lynn University, looking for something casual, varied, and diet-friendly. The menu spans build-your-own poke bowls, noodle and rice dishes, sushi rolls, hibachi bowls, and bento boxes.
Rachel ordered a poke bowl using the Bento app, which proved a little tricky — there are no pre-configured poke options, so she had to build one from scratch. Customizing it took some trial and error, and she eventually needed staff assistance to finalize the order. I went with a Korean Shrimp Noodle Bowl, which came out quickly and was satisfying for a quick-service stir-fry.
Our table tried:
•Korean Shrimp Noodle Bowl – Lo mein with shrimp, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, scallions, Korean gochujang sauce.
•Large Poke Bowl – Tuna, salmon, edamame, cucumber, carrots, seaweed salad, crispy garlic, peanuts, yum yum sauce.
•Avocado Roll – Classic sushi roll with cucumber and avocado.
•Tuna Roll – Simple, fresh, traditional maki-style tuna.
•Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box – White rice, lo mein, garlic string beans, salad, chicken teriyaki, miso soup.
•Pork Egg Roll – Crisp and flavorful, a step above typical Chinese takeout versions.
The space is spotless and airy, with plenty of seating for groups. Service was friendly, and our friends — who have stricter dietary needs — were happy with their meals.
Bottom line: Predictable, clean, and varied enough to please mixed tastes. Not destination dining, but a solid meet-up choice in Boca for a quick,...
