We have visited this cafe many times. It's always been great. But last time it was disgusting. Ordered three dishes, which were sloppily prepared. Asked my son to make a croissant with salmon. They brought a burnt dry croissant with just fish inside. I had to slather it with cream cheese from my bagel to give it any flavor. My salmon bagel looked like it had already been on someone else's table. Sloppy to the max. Not good. Not gentle. I asked for hot coffee. They brought it to me barely warm. But to this bagel they put a moldy-flavored sweet bun....🤢 that's where my visit to this place ended.
UPD:
"I am as disappointed by your negative review as I was by today's breakfast. However, it's highly inappropriate to begin a conversation with a customer in such a tone (just a tip for the future). It would have been more appropriate to first offer my apologies and suggest solutions to this situation, as it's not difficult for me to remove the review, but you chose a different path... Very unfortunate.
I understand how businesses value reviews to maintain their reputation, but apparently, it doesn't matter to you. Are you aware of why I didn't contact the owner? No, you're not. I hope you won't have similar situations in the future. Your response to me in your reply looks just like my breakfast. So, there's nothing surprising here.
Here's an example of successful communication with dissatisfied customers for your future reference:
'Thank you for your feedback. We deeply apologize that your experience was not entirely satisfactory. Your review is very important to us, and we will take all necessary measures to address the situation. We hope you will give us another chance to demonstrate our best service. Thank you for sharing your impressions with us, and we hope to see you again to offer you the best service.'
With such communication, you'll have a better chance of leaving a positive impression....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Carmelo Toast and Coffee Shop after a delightful dinner. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by a sign that said "feel at home," and let me tell you, that's exactly how we felt. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm fireplace and a charming music playing in the background.
We decided to stop for a coffee and some light bites of dessert, and we were not disappointed. The coffee was absolutely delicious, and the desserts were amazing. What I loved most about them was that they weren't overly sweet or heavy. They had just the right balance, leaving us feeling satisfied and guilt-free. It's always a pleasant surprise to find a place that focuses on both taste and health-conscious choices.
The customer service Max and Melissa we received was excellent. The staff made us feel right at home, and we didn't want to leave. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends or loved ones in such a welcoming environment. It truly added to the overall experience.
I can't wait to visit again and try more items from their menu. I have a feeling that their full dining experience will be just as delightful as our coffee and dessert stop. If you're looking for a place where you can unwind, enjoy good food and drinks, and feel at home, then Carmelo Toast and Coffee Shop is the perfect choice. It's a lovely place that I...
Read moreVery unprofessional and unfair behavior from the Owner-Operator of this franchise, as he said that "..I spend too much in the coffee shop, and that I need to get out..." Never bothered to ask, how much money I spent in that store (Breakfast, Snack and Lunch), everyday.
About $50 dollars worth of food, is what I spend everytime I go to any of the Carmela coffee shops. I don't go there for free, and as far as I remember there is jurisprudence about another case (see Starbucks and consumers using the premises without being singled out and special treatment).
Meanwhile, other consumer sitting there without consuming anything at all (see the attached picture).
I wonder why the Corporate store allows Owner Operators with lack of customer service experience, and feel entitled to single out consumers that have loyalty to the brand (like my self, as I go to all the stores between Palm Beach and Broward Counties).
I have never received this type of unprofessional treatment in any other Carmela Coffee Shops.
The whole value proposition of the brand is for people that come to co-share space with other people, while consuming food from the store.
May be the Carmela Brand is not what many people thought it was.
Horrible experience, bad management and is affecting the entire brand experience. I will make sure Rafael Barretta reviews...
