It was our first time at Louie Bossi’s in Boca and our experience overall was horrible, especially dropping over $200 on mediocore food and to experience a terrible attitude from the beginning. It was a Tuesday night, we had a reservation at 6:45pm. We parked in the rear of the restaurant, we didn’t realize that so we were looking for THE MAIN ENTRANCE. We asked one of the guys who works there where the entrance was and he was kind of condescending saying “right in front of you” he opened the door and we entered at the back of the restaurant, it wasn’t THE MAIN ENTRANCE! So we were looking for the hostess stand like two lost puppies since the restaurant is so big, one of the ladies who works there cuts us off, brushed us off, and ignored us when she clearly heard us say “where do we get seated?” I spotted the hostess stand and we went there. Turns out the lady who cut us off and ignored us was the hostess, she proceeds to greet us with a fake smile after she realized what she did and after her nasty attitude in the back of the restaurant we didn’t want to deal with her so another hostess took over… they finally sit us. Our waitress, Vanessa, was really good. We ordered octopus and mushroom pizza for the appetizers. Octopus was great and that’s what I would recommend. Pizza was okay, nothing special. Our main courses were linguine clam pasta which for $30 I would expect to be a bit more flavorful but it was just blah and the clams weren’t the greatest quality. Vanessa did offer to remake my main dish but I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for it. My boyfriend got lamb chops with side of potatoes, the lamb chops were drenched in olive oil and they were medium done when we asked for well done, potatoes were good. My first drink was passion fruit margarita which wasn’t great at all… and the second drink was expresso martini that I really enjoyed and it was tasty. My boyfriend got old fashion in which you couldn’t taste bourbon at all and the second drink Negroni wasn’t any better… but to top it all off while we were waiting for our dessert the waiter for the table next to us was so clumsy that he pushed off our to go box off the table and my glass of water with his behind spilling it on the table and on me and the box dropped too making a mess of the pizza inside of it. He didn’t even apologize and didn’t even notice what he did… the tiramisu was very delicious. Overall the food was mediocre quality and so was the service…. The things that I would recommend are the expresso martini, octopus with potatoes, and tiramisu. The door windows were dirty too, when you sit and wait for your food for 30+ minutes, your customers have time to notice things… maybe your rude hostesses instead of giving attitude and taking up space with the other 10 hostesses could wipe the glass doors instead. The atmosphere was very loud too we could barely talk to one another but that’s beside the point….We didn’t cause any problems, tipped our waitress good and we left, I don’t think we would go back there though....
Read moreVacationing and wanted a good Italian meal. Someone at our hotel recommended. We walked in early afternoon. Place was not packed or very busy. Walked in and the two young ladies at counter stood allowing my husband and I to stand there as they talked about there Friday and paid no attention to us as if we were not there. Finally after standing there a couple of minutes one of the females looks at us and ask for how many. We stated two and we asked if we could be seated outside. She proceeds to state they were really busy and if we wanted to be seated out side we had a time limit of 1hr and half. I have never heard of any place giving you a time limit to sit and enjoy lunch. At view they were not busy. Many tables available outside and inside. All chairs at bar were also empty. She proceeded to look at my husband and I up and down as if we were in the wrong place and we didn’t belong there. He is covered in tattoos and comfortably dressed in cargo shorts and a concert t- shirt. I and also comfortably dressed in track pants and a t- shirt. She then turns to the 2nd young lady and states out loud we’re can we put “them” as she is looking at us up and down. Only lowers her voice after she notices we can hear her. They decide, and ask us to follow one of the young ladies outside. There are many tables open, many areas of space available. We are literally seated in a small corner near the wall, in an even smaller table. My husband looked like he was sitting at a kids table so uncomfortable. First the rude initial encounter with the hostess and now this. We didn’t even stay we walked out. A couple days later my husband still wanting to give the place a try went back thinking maybe it was just the rude obnoxiously snotty hostess that was giving the place a bad vibe. Nope. On his 2nd visit same vibe was given to him. His food was mediocre at best. His drinks were watered down and the service. Was horrible. Which is so sad it is a esthetically pleasing atmosphere just a really ugly vibe and you are treated as if you don’t belong if your not showing off how much money you have. He wouldn’t have been in the restaurant or the residing area if he couldn’t afford to be there. Not everyone likes to flaunt their money or what they have. And some people still don’t judge other people by what they look like they could have. I was appalled by how rudely we were treated our initial visit. I was down right pissed off after my husband went back a second time, only to be treated the same way with horrible food and service and paying over a $260 dollar bill for himself and his brother. We never leave reviews but management needs to show their employees some manners and educate how to treat EVERYONE with respect. We travel everywhere and always recommended places to our friends and family. We will definitely be spreading the word to avoid this...
Read moreMy son and I went there for mothers day at my request, we have been there at least a dozen times most of the time with positive experiences, this time however was different. Service was busy so have to give them a break for not bringing bread which is really good until we asked unfortunately it came about 1 min before our entrees, while the other tables next to us got it immediately ....so they were not out of the bread. But lets get to the food ..I had the spaghetti with rigatoni instead of thin noodles, when it came there was literally zero sauce,(see picture) it was noodles with a few small tomatoes, my son ordered a pasta as well, both of ours literally had zero sauce, we pointed this out to the server and he admitted that it was light and would get us more sauce, about 8 mins later we got small dish of tomato sauce, my son would of preferred vodka sauce but that seemed to be too tall of an order. The pasta this time was definitely subpar and not worth 10 dollars let alone 23 and 26 dollars respectively, and when we just spent 50.00 at the bar. It seems odd that both of our dishes were very short sauce, is this a cost cutting measure we wondered ? .The volume of noodles was also about 70% of what it was at prior visits as well with almost no sauce and no taste this was not the biggest issue......the sauce is what makes a pasta dish, without it your just eating noodles and I can get a pound of noodles for next to nothing...pasta is a huge margin item....and costs next to nothing. We noticed others being served pasta that appeared to have little sauce as well, I hope the manager reads this and corrects this issue immediately , its clearly unacceptable and the food was absolutely...
