This was my first visit to Rocco's Tacos and to the city of Boca Raton as well. This wasn't a normal visit, I was attending a special event for the Guy Fieri Foundation. Because it was a special event, the night was more expensive then a normal dinner trip to this establishment would be. There was a red carpet, an auction, and a five course meal that was absolutely delicious. Of course, the highlight of the night was meeting Guy Fieri and enjoying the conversation that Guy and Rocco had with the whole restaurant. But as far as my first visit to this restaurant goes, I was immediately impressed with the atomphshere and the decor of the restaurant. It had mood lighting, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a massive and gorgeous bar, and the wallpaper was a subtle hint to Day of the Dead, which I thought was amazing! The bathroom even carried this same theme, and there was even a TV in one of the stalls. Overall, it was down to earth, but elegant decor, which I loved. The food was also amazing. Our five course meal included an appetizer lobster taco, which I don't eat seafood, but I tried it and liked it! Next was Guy's signature trash can nachos, which were insanely good. Then there was a tomato and watermelon salad that was really good. Next was, steak medallions with mashed potatoes and asparagus, which were fabulous. And for dessert was a brown sugar pudding with vanilla whipped cream. All I can say was I could have ate 10 of these desserts. So fantastic! It was a wonderful night of food, fun, meeting new people, and of course Guy Fieri. Although this was a special event, I would definitely love to go have a regular night at Rocco's Tacos and eat food from their normal menu. I was very impressed, so I know the food and atmosphere will be great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for any time of day or occasion. You won't be...
Read morewant to report how I was treated by Rob Kopel one of your managers at the Boca Raton restaurant. On the night of April 5, 2024 we had dinner at your restaurant we were part of the the Group of Bike MS approximately 70 of us, we arrived around 6:30 pm after waiting a good 20 minutes our waitress approach us to take our order, we ordered 3 Tacos, Black beans and brown rice with a margarita, I waited a good hour without being served our food, the margarita was served 20 minutes later, my wife approached the main desk looking for our dinner, one of the managers inside told her how sorry they were and they would serve us in a few minutes when our dinner arrived our waitress told me that they are going to wave the charges and dinner was on them. When I received my bill I noticed that I was charged for the dinner I question her and she told me that she would take care of it. (she even showed me a a receipt with a zero balance) Out my kindness I proceeded to give her a tip of $10 even thought the service was very poor but she was given us credit for the food. This is when my trouble begin with Rob Kopel yesterday 4/10 I called the restaurant and I asked to speak with a manager Rob took my call and I explained the situation I even send him an email with signed receipt authorizing the $10 tip, he proceed to tell me that I made a mistake adding and those were the correct charges, I tried to explained to him over again what the waitress had showed me but he kept on denying my findings. I have to say this guy is as bad as it gets, no courtesy for the customer and so rude. Very disappointed with Mr. Kopel and is not about the free dinner, is about the denying my statement and the principle of it.. Thank you for reading...
Read moreRocco's Tacos is a chain I first discovered last February when visiting Boca Raton. Since then, my fiancé, our friend Kevin, and I have been back every time we come to town. The atmosphere is great at all locations, especially the Boca Raton location. We love the Delray location as well but parking can sometimes be challenging during the tourist times of year. They offer table side guacamole which you can order mild, medium, or spicy and it comes with house made seasoned tortilla chips. They also offer mild, medium, and hot salsa to pair with it. My fiancé and I are huge fans of the birria tacos that come with 3 brisket tacos made with corn tortillas. I also am a sucker for the Mahi Mahi on corn tortillas, as well as the pork belly on corn tortillas both cone with 3 tacos as well. For those of you that prefer flour tortilla you can order a la carte a choice of 5 different styles of tacos. As a big guy the choice of 3 corn tortilla tacos and side of guacamole has always filled me up. The drinks they offer are excellent as well. The service is fantastic and even on the busiest of nights a manager stops in during the meal and asks how everything has been. When and if you order the guacamole they prepare it tableside to your liking in a large serving bowl already placed on your table as you are seated. I have highly recommended this place to friends, family, coworkers, and even other guests from the Hyatt we stay at. If you are a lover of all things taco this spot is a must try when in south Florida. Between excellent service, delicious food, and exceptional atmosphere there isn't a place I look forward to trying more when we...
