Sloan's — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I went there with my best friend today after the Seafood Festival. . She ordered the soft serve vanilla ice cream on cone with chocolate sprinkles and hardly any sprinkles on it so she asked for more . Her price was $6.00 , Well I ordered the same but a different girl tried to make the ice cream on the cone laughed since it came Lopsided and she showed the other girl behind the counter who made my friends . I said oh it’s fine just put it in a cup . She she did . Now my price $8.00 I asked why are you charming me a cup and come price since you couldn’t make the ice cream on the cone came out nice . She said oh cause you got sprinkles and it’s 2.00 and the other girl didn’t charge her . I looked at the price for dry toppings and it’s .99 It’s not the cost just poor service counter girls who both clearly not nice nor have any costumer service maters . They were also hard to understand and showed no enthusiasm being there . Maybe the ice shop should re train those girls on everything. I have gone there in the past with my kids when younger and loved it . I will not go back again. Even my best friend will not go back . Just horrible . I guess you can’t hire good quality workers anymore . Good luck . Too bad cause it’s still a cute place and ice cream is good . Work on better...

I was really disappointed in Sloan’s. We went there because it had excellent reviews, but it didn’t live up to the reviews AT ALL. I ordered a “Flower Power” - which was supposed to be 3 scoops of ice cream in a real flower pot, with hot fudge, marshmallows, and Oreo crumbs. Not only did they leave out the hot fudge, but the marshmallows were stale. The ice cream itself (I got vanilla), was at best mediocre. And this was a $13 desert! My husband ordered a cookie ice cream sandwich, and that wasn’t very good either. I tried it, and the cookie-ice cream proportions were off - too much cookie and not enough ice cream, and the cookie was sickeningly sweet. He ended up throwing away half of it. Yet somehow the place was mobbed. It was definitely not worth the waiting in line or the price. I don’t usually leave reviews when I’ve had negative experiences, but I’m hoping this might steer people elsewhere so they can find...

Horrible experience. Multiple people browsing the flavors while we were in line and then when it was time to order they cut right in when it's clear where the line is. Whipped cream machine kept breaking. My boyfriend got the PB cup sundae and after the girl working stared at us for 5 min after we told her what we wanted she started making his and then when she's almost finished she tells us they're out of peanut butter cups so to pick a different topping...that should've been mentioned initially. I got the sandcastle sundae which comes in a sandcastle pail. I picked my ice cream and she kept turning to read the menu for a long time and then she realized she forgot the cookie at the bottom so she dumps everything out of the pail to put the cookie at the bottom and then puts everything back in.
