We came here last week for my brothers 35th Birthday! I was overly excited because our family hasent had a meal inside a restaurant since the pandemic began. So this was a long overdue experience we had missed! Unfortunately it completely missed the mark on ALL sides. Let’s 1st start with the service, our waitress was MIA 90% of the time, we were always asking for other to get us things like More drinks, More Marinara, More Wine, Clear plates ect. When she did come she only took our order then disappeared again. Our bus boy was completely in LaLa land, or he did not speak English, we were actually unsure. He never seemed to understand us when we asked for something, but when he did he was so lackadaisical about getting it. Service was also severely slow, inside seating was not busy at all, yet outside seating was full. I’m assuming that’s where all the attention was given. The servers and bus people there weren’t friendly, almost annoyed by everything, and we are kind people. We don’t demand and we are very patient. Unfortunately this took all of our patience just to get through a meal that took us 2 hours to get through. Now the food, not only is it severely overpriced but most of it is season-less. Now I will add, the appetizers were great, but you can’t really mess up fried calamari or Buratta or Mozzarella Caprese. The steaks were simple, not seasoned well and over done. The Chicken Milanese was bland, with litterly no taste, unless you add some dressing salt and pepper, and it was 90% salad. My daughter got the kids size Shrimp scampi over linguini. The shrimp were severely fishy. My other daughter got the chicken cutlet with fries and that was a complete waste of money as it didn’t taste like anything, just breadcrumbs. Don’t take kids here if your looking for good kids options. Oh and my kids juice had a huge bug in her drink, and they still charged us for it. 😡 My mom liked her veal, but said it was nothing special. So overall, for a $350 Bill it was a complete bust. You would think, a beautiful Italian restaurant, smack dab in the middle of Mizner Park would be 100x better…think again. This whole experience saddened me, and my family def won’t be returning. The 2 stars is for the Apps and Beautiful Ambiance inside the restaurant. People deserve better Service & Food for those prices.

Dear Villagio Management, I would like to share my impressions of our visit to your restaurant yesterday. We arrived at 9:45 PM, and the waiter informed us that the restaurant was closing. However, after checking Google, we saw that the closing time was listed as 11:00 PM. We assured the waiter that we would not cause any inconvenience and requested two glasses of prosecco and the octopus dish. We are regular customers of your restaurant, truly appreciate your cuisine and service, and always recommend you to others. However, yesterday, there was an unfortunate misunderstanding. The waiter was very kind and seated us, and within about 15 minutes, our order was on the table. However, before the waiter approached us, a man in a suit removed the white tablecloth from him and made it clear that our table would be set without it. This was quite unpleasant and, in our opinion, unacceptable in terms of service. We would like to understand the reason behind his behavior toward us. I would like to emphasize that the waitstaff and kitchen, as always, were excellent. However, the behavior of this man left a negative impression, making us feel unwelcome at the restaurant. I would appreciate any clarification regarding this situation. Best regards, Elena

We chose Villagio over our 'regular' stops on a Sunday late morning to shake up our normal brunch spots. The host was friendly and quickly sat us outside on the patio. When our server arrived, we asked if there were any brunch specials as we were looking forward to some cocktails and he responded with a snarky "NO." This set the tone for our experience. THIS IS NOT A BRUNCH SPOT. We decided to stay and ordered a pizza and a salmon carpaccio. The salmon was arranged beautifully, and it came with a small amount of salsa-like chopped veggies in the center. The menu description mentioned avocado and there was very little avocado. I expected more and I expected more flavor from the dish, but it was very fresh. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza which is served in a personal size. The dough and sauce both had nice flavor and it was cooked well. Our experience was over all OK. I would go back and try dinner. The dinner menu looks delicious and the bread and bowl of tomato bruschetta that we were given when first sat down was really delicious. Over all our service was prompt, but not warm like you typically get on an Italian restaurant.

2/15/2025- Review for Vellagio Restaurant:

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vellagio, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Chef Josue truly outdid himself with the dishes we tried—the lobster was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the risotto was creamy and rich, with just the right balance of seasoning. Every bite was a testament to his skill and passion for culinary excellence.

To top it off, our waiter, Dida, was absolutely spectacular. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and warm demeanor made the evening even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience, and his recommendations were spot-on.

Overall, Vellagio is a gem of a restaurant, combining exceptional food with outstanding service. I can’t wait to return and try more of Chef Josue’s creations, and I hope to have Dida as our waiter again. Highly recommend! Thank you !!

12/14/2024 another visit:

Whether you're indulging in a delicate appetizer, savoring a perfectly crafted pasta dish, or indulging in a decadent dessert, every bite is a culinary masterpiece.

The service at Vellagio is equally impressive. Our waiter, Steven, was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an outstanding dining experience. He expertly guided us through the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect.

Overall, our dining experience at Vellagio was exceptional. The combination of exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a sophisticated atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. We highly recommend Vellagio to anyone seeking a culinary adventure that will exceed their...

Writing this review truly kills me. The first time I came to this restaurant, I fell in love with their pasta. It quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. Naturally, I was very excited to share this spot with my boyfriend to celebrate a dating milestone. During our visit, we were sitting in the long booth area, close to the kitchen, inside the restaurant. We ordered our food and were waiting for it to come to the table when I looked over to my side and I saw three baby roaches crawling on the booth and scooting into the cracks of the booth. I showed my boyfriend and we called the waiter immediately. The waiter saw the roaches and quickly ended up moving us to a stand alone table and informed his manager. At this point I wanted to leave but my boyfriend did not want the waiter to get reprimanded for us leaving so we chose to stay. At that point I kept looking over at the booth and kept seeing more baby roaches crawling in and out of the couches, with a bunch of staff members coming over and attempting to kill them discreetly. I was so sick to my stomach, I told my boyfriend we had to leave and ran to the bathroom to throw up. These roaches were so close to the kitchen, I couldn’t even imagine where else they might be roaming. I think what upset me the most was that when I came back from the bathroom, my boyfriend told me we could go and later told me that despite the fact that we had this experience, the restaurant made him pay full price for our meal. The only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because our waiter was incredibly nice. However the manager should have taken more responsibility and we definitely should not have been made to pay full price (if any price) for that meal. Needless to say, I am so devastated that this restaurant was forever ruined for me with this experience. I’m super...
