Plates were dirty (lettuce pieces stuck to a plate when we ordered a piece of cake). Food was edible but honestly... I've had better food from sonic. The layout of the menus really stood out, i.e. alcoholic drinks covered the front page (we got there before noon), it was as if it was backwards or inside out it seemed so off. I wouldn't recommend that layout for a place I used to know as 'family focused'. I can't say whether they had a separate kids menu or not, but still... the front page of a menu is the influencer page or the introduction of what the restaurant wants you to see the place as. In other words, great layout, if you were a bar who happened to serve meals on the side. The cake we got was not easy to dig into, like it was overcooked, and the use of dense chocolate was poor as well as overpowering (if i was overly picky I would also mention that the chocolate wasn't tempered properly either, but I know that's asking too much). Even to go as far as the French fries, I wouldn't say they lacked ANY flavor, but rather that it was just oddly flavored. I couldn't get through half of them and French fries is one of my favorite things to eat. 😕 Now, on the upside, their Cesar salad tasted awesome. And yet, i spent the next day with a very unhappy stomach because of it. The after effects weren't so positive.
I hadn't been there in a while because, before the last time I was there, they were already in a decline in terms of like-ability, this was before Covid was even close to starting (before 2019). They still had a handful of food choices I liked and I felt like giving them one more chance before I completely gave up on them. However, I must say, after this last visit (July 2021), the only way I would ever go back is if I wanted a job that required zero experience. Since that is probably who is currently working in that kitchen.
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of their kind service and nice attitudes.
But don't depend on the manager if you ever get told "I'll call you back", even if they set a date to do it by, which you both agreed to. I don't know if they are over stressed, forgetful, or what, but it was made clear that I could not trust in getting any kind of response from them for future contacting. Not even a late call, just silence. I've gotten ghosted by so many companies this year it's become a new pet peeve of mine, maybe I should start a list so I remember NOT to do business with them in the future. I DON'T like setting myself up to make the same mistake twice, in who I trust to take care of simple responsibilities, and...
Read moreI have to say we keep giving Chilis a chance to redeem themself everytime we order. Over the past year, Chili's has only got 3 of our orders right. When we have ordered items off the menu and being told "were out of that or Oh, we dont make that". Food being cold. Missing things from our order. There was open tables, everywhere and they told us we had to wait. It was because we had to wait for someone to bus the table. The last straw was last night. We placed an order that we picked up ( carry out ) The phone rang and rang. I hung up and called again and the phone wasnt answered until the 19th ring. They took the order and told us that it would be 20min. We arrived in 20 min later only to have to wait another 10 mins. ( it was a Monday and they were not busy ) After getting home with our order we realized that all 4 dinners that we ordered were cold and they were all wrong. Then this morning, i checked my credit card and realized that Chilies charged me 3x's. I have always recommened Chilis, but can honsetly say going forward. I will NEVER take my business, family, co-workers or refer anyone to Chilis again. The worst experince and not just on one visit...
Read moreThe quality is... I mean, look. Last time I went there, I was at the to-go counter and had called ahead my order, one of the items being "Baked potato soup, NO BACON!" It had bacon. So I asked for one without bacon. They brought me another one with bacon freshly THROWN ON TOP. So I asked again... and again... and again... and again for NO BACON. On the 8th time I went behind the counter and yelled at the moron prepping the food "HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT THROW BACON BITS ON AT THE END!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Finally got it right. Didn't offer to remake the food since it got cold waiting for these mental midgets to get a single thing right.
Sometimes the sweet tea ain't sweet - the food is always terrible quality... An extra star because the buffalo wings are edible. Not much else they prepare here is. Which is a shame, because I was just up at the Chilis in Spokane and it was delicious! The owner of this one must order the bottom of the line cheapest ingredients because wow everything tastes...
