CENTINELA MEXICAN RESTAURANT & BAR — Restaurant in Boerne

Took forever to get service had to ask for napkins and water 3 times, then finally ordered food, took 30 minutes to come out, heard screaming children in the kitchen, my cheese enchilada came out overcooked and flat and hard as cheese had evaporated. Ground beef taco was tiny and beef was tasteless and white and lukewarm. We had to ask for silver ware. The waiter finally came over to ask how everything was and I explained my issues and he took my plates back to the kitchen. I was not offered anything else to eat and no apologies. We also ordered "guacamole" and were served what looked like pureed green baby food. When we sent it back the waiter said it wasn't guacamole it was a dip. Okaaayyy... We even tried to doctor it up with salsa which was mediocre at best. Still grossed out. Icing on the cake.. we were charged for the food we sent back! We paid the check thinking my meal was taken off and then I noticed I was charged. Asked why I was charged and he said I ate some of it. Um ya I tasted it 2 bites of enchilada and 2 bites of taco to make sure I wasn't being picky. He got testy with me and gave me less $$ back than my meal and we left! NEVER GO HERE! Stood in the doorway waiting for a table to be cleared off and was eventually told to just sit in a booth covered in dishes from the last group. Waitress only spoke to me because I speak Spanish while my group did not. When the food came out it tasted old and stale (burrito) my boyfriend ordered the same thing and his was just a tortilla with a little bit of meat with the rest of the filling thrown on the side of the plate. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get the whole table their food, each plate arrived individuallyacross this time period. The server refused to come and help us when we tried to order refills on drinks. Eventually after about 3 hours there we left. One group member ordered a single taco to go and was never notified that it was ready, waiting on the counter, nothing. Check out clerk offered to give me the food for free but when i told him it was my friend's (who is male, i am not) he changed his mind and said he would have to charge him. We called a manager that night to explain what happened and were promised a refund but when my boyfriend went to go get his (we all paid separately) he was accused of being a scam artist looking for free food, by the...

Food was mediocre, each meal was brought out 10-15 minutes apart for 5 people. Before the end of the meal one of our friends ordered a taco to go and they never brought it up, we waited 30 minutes and finally walked up to the counter to pay , only to find out that the taco was sitting on the counter the entire time with no name or warning. I talked to the cashier and he claimed that if we ordered to go then it stays up on the counter. But when I confronted him about the service he asked me if I was going to pay for it and said if I was going to pay he'd take it off the bill and I said it was my friend who was going to pay and he changed his mind and said "oh well then he has to pay then". Service was awful the server avoided our table throughout the meal. 3 hours wasted and I will never return.

UPDATE: Manager promised to refund our meals if we came in the next day. I spoke with said manager's husband who then accused me of being scam artist who is "Just some cheap skate looking...
