H-E-B Bakery — Restaurant in Boerne

Love the fresh bread and donuts. Recently they took down their enclosed shelving for the donuts and rolls and switched to open display square shelves that are just the right height for children to reach and handle the sweet rolls, etc. Even with the enclosed shelving, I am sure there were little and even big hands touching the baked goods without using the tissue paper to pick up the sweets. Open shelves just makes contamination easier. I will probably pick up a few cinnamon twists (with the tissue papers) when I see the fresh ones being shelved. I shop HEB all the time and the above observation will not keep me from shopping there, even for sweet rolls and donuts.
