I happened to be in Boerne at a doctors appointment near this location. I decided to stop in for a few minutes. I was sorely disappointed in almost every aspect of this place. The women behind the counter do not greet you when you come in. The same was true when I checked out with my one item. There was a lot of merchandise to choose from. Clothing, housewares, home decor, and more. However, these were some of the highest prices I have ever seen in a thrift store. You won’t find any bargains here. You can find the same items for better prices on eBay or at almost any other thrift store. Some of the items are marked higher than you would pay for them brand new in a store. The clothes were disappointing as well. shirts and pants that were stained, ripped, and torn. When I think of all the people who donated to this place, and the fact that they get these items for free, it really annoys me. They would move their merchandise so much more quickly. If they would mark everything about half the price they’ve got it marked now. I definitely won’t be back and I will definitely pass the word. And last but not least, were all of the signs that they had posted all over the store. Very...

Today my aunt and grandmother stopped by to donate some items. When they got there they were greeted by a teenage boy who said they could not drop off items because they were closed. Understandable. The boy went inside to get his boss to help explain the situation and the woman said “You can’t donate items because we’re closed, we don’t take junk anyways.”
I didn’t get the employees names but that statement alone shows their level of customer service. We have had problems with them in the past when we went to donate as well (workers screaming at us before we even got out of the car, horrible attitudes, not helping load or unload donations) and this just put the icing on the cake.
Who tells an 80 year old, sweet, Christian, animal loving woman who’s trying to donate her items that she isn’t allowed to donate because it’s “junk”? These people are clearly NOT trying to get items to the help human society and they clearly don’t value their customers.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont donate to this establishment. Go somewhere that treats their customers with respect and actually cares about...
Read moreI’ve taken the majority of our donations here for the past several years because I support their cause. I’ve always been happy with my experiences here. Except today. Yesterday I called to discuss what items they do and do not accept. I have brand new ceiling fans sealed in box, large heavy furniture items, etc. I asked about having a truck sent but one wasn’t available. So I made arrangements to load the items in a truck ourselves to be delivered the following day. (Today.). They said to just make sure we arrived before 2pm. Only when my husband arrived at their location this morning, they said they were not accepting donations because they are full. We wasted so much time and energy loading an entire truckload of heavy furniture & household items and now we have to drive it into San Antonio to Goodwill. If they knew this could be an issue they should have told us to call first! I’m VERY aggravated with this experience to the point I will not return there...
