My cousins & I decided on a week long trip to Texas starting in San Antonio & ending our tour in Houston. Tootie Pie was a random last minute decision as we drove by & we were so happy we did. We sampled so many pies, & ate off them for the next 3 days. They are made fresh & then flash frozen to keep the taste & flavor living in our minds & bellies even longer. First off, the owners, two Brothers Mike & Brian we’re just just sweet souls. So forthcoming, honest, and real. We really appreciated getting to know them & learning about the history behind the place & the way the pies are made. For us, though, despite the friendly service, the buttermilk pie was the true star. I’m talking crème brûlée meets a basque cheesecake & has a baby star worthy! It was sooo amazing. We brought extra pieces to gift to friends we were to visit along the way & they loved it just as much as we did! The pecan, coconut, pumpkin & chocolate pie were all magnificent. Just know that in our total of 5 days on this trip, we still dreamed of this buttermilk pie. Do yourself a favor, & try it!!! Only negative, they need to be on every corner of Texas!

After 10 years of shopping in TX, this was the rudest experience I’ve ever had. On 10/12/23 @ 4 pm I stopped in to pick up a couple 4” pies. The sales clerk was ridiculously rude. There were very few pies in the case. I asked her if she had any small pies in the back. She asked me what I meant by small, 4”, 8” or 12”? I said 4”. She began listing off what she had in the back. I asked if she had buttermilk. She said yes but we hold those back for the southern sampler. I then asked about the pie slices in the case and again met with rudeness. When I asked if a particular piece was coconut, she said NO, it’s cheesecake. Trying to make conversation, I said that I saw that Costco now sells a few of their pies online. She said that wasn’t her area that was Dripping Springs.

No hello, how is your day, can I help you?

I will never return to that store. It’s a shame because Tooties Pies are delicious. I guess instead of supporting a small local business, I’ll order my Tooties Pies...

I don’t have any photos to share because all our pie is gone already. The pumpkin pie has to be the best I’ve ever had. As a hobbyist pie baker myself, I think that statement alone says a lot. The chocolate peanut butter pie was absolutely delicious. We even snuck in a piece of chocolate cake. All of it was just amazing. Along with great treats, the service was wonderful. The guy upfront let me know his preferences and even though I’m sure he’d been asked a billion times before, he was so kind and friendly. I guess we will have to be back soon since all of our treats disappeared so fast. Can’t wait to...
