I'm excited to see another Vietnamese restaurant open in Midlothian! Our group ordered a bunch of foods, but I was so hungry, I only took photos of mine! We had:
fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls - this was very good and fresh, it tasted like it was made to order and provided you with a good portion of shrimp and pork. They used bbq pork in this instead of the usual plain/boiled pork other restaurants use. Not a bad thing, just thought I'd mention it since it was unexpected!
bun thit nuong cha gio (vermicelli noodles with bbq pork and fried egg rolls) - this was beautifully presented and it was a big portion. The eggrolls and pork had very good flavor. The pork was a bit too dry, especially compared the the pork that was used in the spring rolls.
com tam bu suon cha (broken rice with grilled pork chop, shredded pork skin and pork cake) - my partner has this and he really liked it! It also included a couple pieces of fried shrimp paste wrapped in bean curd which was pretty tasty as well!
bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and pho - I took a sip of both broths and they were both flavorful. The portions were big that half of them didn't finish their meal, they give you a lot of noodles! I can't wait to go back to try them.
All in all, give this restaurant a try - the service is great, decor was beautiful and I took a peek at their drink menu and it...
Read moreThis was my 1st visit and I wasn’t impressed with the flavored of food I had on first visit. I ordered shrimp fried rice and an order of egg rolls… the rice didn’t have any flavor at all so I won’t be eating that again.. however the egg rolls were a nice size just like the other Vietnamese restaurant sell and flavor was good… now on 2nd visit, I ordered shrimp pho soup and again egg rolls…. To my dismay, I was surprised to see them put the ingredients for the soup in a zip lock bag….so tacky to throw everything in a zip lock….now for the egg rolls I was shocked to see the size of the egg rolls were the size of a pretzel stick (the thickness) not the length….i was highly disappointed….. they just opened this restaurant and already you are cutting back on food but price is the same for a pretzel stick….. bc of this I will not be going back to them and will go back to Pho cafe further down Midlothian….DO...
Read moreThis was my first time coming to this restaurant. The food was extremely good. My reason for eating this place 2 stars was due to the lack of utensils when i first sat… i didn’t have any utensils for my appetizers. When served the pho, i still didn’t have utensils, i didn’t have any of the garnishes (thai basil, bean sprouts, or lemon), then i didn’t have the sauce dish that usually comes with everything it… I asked the waiter for the sauce dish when he came back to check on me but he handed me my check during that visit. He acknowledged with “yes” and nodded after i asked about the sauce dish… he still hadn’t come back, he was attending to others.. it seemed like he was avoiding me. I know i didn’t do anything wrong.. I was just trying to eat pho on...
