Bought queso as a to go order was told it would be done in just a few minutes (I was 15 mins away). When arrived to the restaurant I was given the bill and had queso charged at $8.??? and then salsa for a 1.?? Total being 9 bucks. As I was signing the receipt the girl was putting my order together and then was telling me to warm it up for 2 mins 20 seconds - I was so distracted by the amount of salsa they gave me that I didn't check the queso. I started to ask for salsa and chips she replied with this is our small bag of chips and I said shouldn't I get two bags of chips since I paid for the salsa -she then said I didn't charge you for the salsa. I really don't like confrontation so i said okay. When I got back in the car I opened the queso and literally it's a block of cold cheese-now the warming up directions make sense. This is my first time ordering from here even though I literally just ordered a block of cheese I wouldn't recommend this place. 9 bucks for queso block . Just called and asked how much their queso cost and the lady on the phone said 6.38 with taxes-now I wondering again how just queso cost 9 something - dang they...

My husband and I were in the area for an appointment & decided to stop here for lunch. It was our first time there. Chips & salsa were OK. My husband said they tasted stale to him, the salsa was good. Ordered our food. He got the NY steak & I got the Carne Asada lunch. They didn’t ask us how we wanted our meat cooked, but we totally forgot to say when we ordered, so technically not their fault completely. So my husband steak was dry & overcooked. I asked for no guacamole, substitute with sour cream. I did not receive the sour cream, but I wasn’t charged for it, so I didn’t complain.. The food in general wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t outstanding. I would say the biggest disappointment for me was the Spanish rice. So mushy & soggy.. Also you only receive 2 tortillas with each meal & they aren’t freshly made. They’re store bought which is fine. As I went to use the rest room there were shelves that had all the store bought tortillas on it. Also as read in a previous review the bathroom still had no soap to use for washing your hands 😬 The price point isn’t bad so I guess you get what...

I'll give this place 2 stars at best. The only thing worse than the food was the service. We arrived and sat ourselves. It took 15 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. By this time were ready to order our food. We got fajitas with no onions, pozole and my son got the super nachos. The server didn't write anything down so of course when the food came out 30 minutes later there was onions in the fajitas. When i brought it to the servers attention he promised to take care of it. Took the plate back and returned a few moments later to inform us he picked the onions out of the food. For someone who doesn't eat onions under any circumstances this was pretty disheartening. My posole was mediocre at best. My sons nachos were the best thing we got. I guess it's kind of hard to mess up nachos. We never got offered drink refills once. Our bill was over $60 and we didn't even barely touch the food. I don't mind spending money on food so long as it's worth it. I personally will never go back and I do...

Wife was telling me this place came highly recommended on a BonneyLake FB page so we checked it out today, and I must say I was not disappointed. I think we just found our new favorite restaurant for Mexican food. Will definitely be going back when we’re in the mood for that type of food. I had the prawn enchilada a la crema (delicious) the wife had a chicken quesadilla, which I had a bite, the flavor of the chicken was so good and we shared the deep fried ice cream, very good. Also the salsa that came with the chips was excellent!! Very good and clean establishment….

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday and returned Friday at the owner’s playful suggestion to come back for their recently added Quesa Birria tacos (only served Fri - Sun). Glad I did! The quesabirrias were fantastic — even better than the delicious pozole from Thursday! The new, family owners are continuing the solid tradition of this Bonney Lake staple and adding a few fixins of their own. Great food & attentive, personal service make Don Chuy’s THE choice of Mexican restaurants in BL!
