My most recent shoes barely lasted a year before wearing through completely, and I planned on just going to the nearest place for cheap replacements. But after doing some research I heard good things about this store and decided to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. I'm used to big chain stores where I struggled trying on countless shoes before settling on the least expensive and functional pair. But here they actually take the time to scan my feet and test how I walk to see what shoes and insoles would be best for me. The employee who helped me, Zelinda, was wonderful. Polite, friendly, professional, and patient. She answered all of my questions clearly, narrowed down my selections so I didn't feel overwhelmed by choice, explained the differences between each selection and why it could work for me, and overall was a delight to be around. At no point did I feel pressured to get a bunch of add ons or accessories, and instead felt like she was focused on getting what was best for me. Visiting from Kodiak, Alaska I had one MUST DO on my list, and that was to get my guy back home the 9.5 extra wide black HOKA he loves. This did not start out as the easy mission I was hoping for. After two days of searching high and low with no luck and no help from any of the big box retail shoe stores it was time to get SERIOUS about finding these shoes…Imagine my surprise when my mother and I walked into the Bonney Lake store and we were lucky enough to be greeted at the door by ZELINDA (RETAIL EMPLOYEE OF THE CENTURY). I pulled out my phone showed her the picture I had taken of the tongue of the shoe showing what I needed. Zelinda had the show I had been searching high and low for and got it ordered and it will be shipped to me in Kodiak. My father-in-law and I just returned from Fleet Feet where we worked with Lauren. (a little back ground... Bill has been bedridden and/or wheelchair bound for the past 10 months. He is only now back to walking with a with a walker.) Bill was in need of a pair of shoes so that he could start walking outside. After we were turned away from a speciality orthotics place we stopped in at Fleet Feet. We honestly thought that since this is specifically a "runner's" store they would be unable or unwilling to help. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Lauren patiently listened to the whole story and with a casual smile said "I'm sure we can help." She patiently worked though four pairs of shoes before she found the perfect fit. (I'm sure she would have gone through many more if necessary.) I would have never thought that a store like this could have helped Bill with his list of ailments, but they did.
