We were regulars here until we were served food with dirty forks and hidden within a short human hair. The waitress then tried to explain it away and they really expected us to continue eating. As you can clearly see in the picture that hair fell off a person’s face, probably an eyelash or eyebrow. We sent it back anyway and promptly received another bowl but upon inspection the steak and cilantro were completely missing this time around and (un)Happy Pho Time skimped out on the tendon we were paying extra for ($3.00) and the brisket that was part of the typical order. We used to order the same thing each time we gave them our patronage so we know how it’s supposed to look. Unacceptable. Between the dangerously slick floors today (not usual) and the reluctance to remake our hairy food, and then making us lower quality food the second time to save a few bucks I cannot give Happy Pho Time a good review. If I could leave zero stars I most certainly would as my stomach is literally bubbling as I attach these photos and we had to leave the store hungry after our second botched order due to them playing in our faces. One star (too many!) One more note, when we tried to express our issue to a man from the kitchen in a red shirt who wanted to “work things out” he wouldn’t let us get a word in sideways to tell him what was actually wrong with the food and why we couldn’t eat it. It seems he thought we were upset about the taste and blamed the spices we were using trying to tell us we were eating it wrong. Let me make this perfectly clear: number one we WERE regulars (as in familiar with their menu and how we like it) and number two WE DO NOT EAT HAIR! You folks are way overdue for a health inspection and could’ve saved this interaction if your staff was ready and willing to take accountability for their service today. We know how we like our food (hairless), do better.

I grew up eating pho, my parents and in-laws basically had a pho place. We eat homemade pho once every month at least. So it's not AT ALL expensive, especially TRIPE! (also known as offal, is a cut of meat that comes from the stomach lining of farm animals, the white thingy in my bowl.) You can get tripe at any Asian market. I always order meatballs, brisket, and tripe, with no onions or any greens. Every pho place I've been to (even at my parents place) and I came here a few times in the last month. The last few times I was here I ordered the same, but they ALWAYS put in ONIONS AND LOTS OF IT! They took it back and instead of bringing me a new bowl they just took out the onions, I WOULD'VE BEEN FINE WITH THAT IF IT WAS. 1. No onions floating around in my pho, 2. If I CAN'T taste THE ONIONS, 3. If my bowl of pho was warm! Never finished my pho had about 4 bites. I decided to give them one more chance, I went in today and ordered the same, this time they brought out a black bowl of broth with 5 or 6 pieces of tripe (as shown in my pictures but I already took some and put it in my bowl) I already knew that this bowl will be charged extra! Sure enough the "extra tripe" cost me, but I didn't ask for "extra tripe". I asked for a bowl of pho with meatballs, brisket and tripe with no onions. My bowl had only meatballs and brisket no tripe what so ever! (this was the first out of 4 times they actually didn't put any onions in my bowl) I had better pho than this, won't be returning here anymore.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - P10 large of Pho with steak, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe. P9 small of Pho with tendon and flank. The soup was oddly sweet and didn't have much of beef bone taste... it was more like bouillon with the sweetness and saltiness and very flat flavor. The noodle was a bit over cooked but not bad. The proteins were lacking with the tendons pieces too thick and chewy, the flank slightly dry and chewy, and the steak tough. He actually doesn't remember any tripe in his dish... Ambience: 5/5 - very hipster feel and Americanized based on the art and decoration. The menu is a bit all over the place as it goes into Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese food all in one place along with their Americanized counter parts. Service: 5/5 - almost too quick... they gave us the menu and ask what drinks we wanted. When they came back with the drinks, they took the orders. She was back out with the vegetables almost immediately. Then they gave us the check halfway through our meal Value for price: 4/5 - quick service, got the food quickly, and you get what you pay for. Not amazing but not bad

First let me say this was just my personal experience & in no way shape or form am I writing this review to damage your reputation, nor hold any negative intentions.

I arrived hungry & ready to just get some really good pho, staff were awesome. My husband had decided he wanted something else so I asked if he could bring food from outside to eat with me since I really wanted pho, the woman who greeted me said yes. (I was very grateful)

I ordered spring rolls & gyoza & the waitress was kind enough to suggest the combo that had both instead of ordering them separately, then I order the flank & tendon pho large with Meat balls.

The spring rolls were not like any rolls I’ve had before, in the sense that usually the cilantro is chopped up & in this I had stems of cilantro, nothing wrong with it however it was different. Gyozas were ok.

For the pho, again this is my personal experience. It came out what I assumed was hot because I could see steam, but when I took a sip of the soup it wasn’t as hot as I was expecting. When I added the Saracha, it came out so fast that I barely needed to squeeze. The chili oil was different too & I'm not saying all chili oils are made the same but this just seemed like it had chili oil oil* mixed with chili flakes & wasn’t spicy. The bean sprouts seemed like they were frozen & recently thawed. I’m usually used to fresh not needing to thaw out . (Not saying they weren’t)

Normally I like to mix my noodles with the all the sauces I add to it but I couldn’t separate the noodles when I mixed it. When I tried to use the fork to separate them it seemed my noodles weren’t fully cooked, I took a bite & they were still hard. Almost like they weren’t blanched before putting the broth in.

Lastly when I attempted to separate some of my tendon I noticed there was a short hair in the tendon itself, when I tried taking the one I saw out , I found a 2nd hair. It looked like an eye lash or eye brow it was really short.

I discreetly let the waitress know about the hair & she said she’d take it to the back, they offered to make a 2nd one for me but I lost my appetite & was already going to be late from lunch if I waited for the 2nd so I asked them to cancel.

Here’s the thing, my husband & I could see both hairs clear as day but when the waitress came back she said she couldn’t see anything, maybe upon taking it back it got mixed in the soup or whatever the reasoning, but I know what I saw.

Overall, great customer service & they acted quickly so Thank you for that.

I’m sure it was just my pho & this isn’t normal, but again this was my personal experience & it...

We have been regulars here for years. We’ve always loved the food and service - until recently. We got an order and BOTH entrees had foreign objects in them. A large strip of plastic in our salad and a ball of lint and hair in our chicken. It was later in the evening when we ordered and its a 25 minute drive for pickup for us. By the time we sat down at home to eat, it was too late to call or do much. The food went in the trash. The following day I was slammed as I’m a mom of 4 littles and my husband was out of town, it was a Sunday and we had a lot going on. I didn’t have a chance to call until Monday and I very gently asked if they would consider a refund for our dinner (which wasn’t even huge by the way...$35). I was calm and understanding in my request, and the manager/owner responded to me incredibly rudely. She stated they would not do a thing for me. I needed to have brought the food back that evening. I explained my situation, that we are regulars too and I just was hoping they would consider a refund at bare minimum. She continued to tell me no, never apologized once and basically treated it like they could care less. I am absolutely appalled by how she treated me. Genuinely shocked this was how it was handled. We will never eat here again, and will be sure to let everyone we know we frequents here what has happened. This was an easy fix, and they wouldn’t even apologize. As someone who worked many years in the restaurant industry I’m more disgusted by how I was treated than by the numerous foreign objects in our dinner. I also have called the...
