I Love Trapper’s Sushi! But not this location. I was really disappointed in the service me and my family received. As soon as we sat down it was awkward because the chef did not greet us right away. Then it took about 30 mins to get our first order. I understand it can get busy but really 30 mins just sitting there awkwardly looking around. Towards the end of 1 1/2 hrs of us being there My children and husband no longer felt like eating anymore because every time we would be done we would just sit there and look up at the chef Patiently waiting to make another order but it seemed like they were irritated by us. Avoiding eye contact like they just wanted us to leave already. My son started to lay his head on the counter because the wait was so long. Then our waitress comes to get our drink order, she does not smile and has a stand off attitude. I tell my husband well we don’t know she could be having a bad day. It comes time to pay I call her over to do so. Then the card machine says tip and I picked no tip. Right when I gave her the machine back is when her attitude got worse. Like she was upset that I didn’t give her a tip. She kept staring at me even when I walked to the restroom. The part that really got me upset is when we walked out to leave she looked me dead in the face and rolled her eyes. She didn’t even tell us to have a good night or anything. What she failed to realize is that we left her a cash tip. Even the chef tip jar we put a tip in there. I never felt so out of place and unwelcome at a restaurant and wanted to leave so quickly, and for my children to say something about the bad service, just sad. I will never go to this location ever again. I’m not the person to play the race card but we felt like that was part of the issue. The only person nice to us was the guy who seated up with shoulder length...
Read moreWe've been coming here with friends and family for a while now. Unfortunately the last couple of experiences we've had have not been anything to rave about. The first was the waiter not getting half our order in. Half our food arrived and some were without food, we waited, waited and waited for the other half but nothing was served. She said it was the system that didn't get the order in...there was never a sense of urgency to fix the mistake while half the party had food and the other half didn't and she didn't notice that she took 4 orders but only served 2....... The second experience was placing an order thru Uber Eats for a pick-up. I received the notice that my order was ready for pick up. Upon arrival and asking for the order, the hostess said they don't have an order for me. I pulled the order number and order on the Uber Eats app and they still couldn't locate it. They were able to make the order and have it ready for roughly am additional 15 minutes all together. The hostess then proceeded to tell me don't use the app just call in orders to ensure the order will be ready. There was never an apology, just what came across as frustration. From a customer service stand point, if this is an ongoing issue with third parties, I would recommend being temporarily unavailable on such apps and finding the root cause to the issue. Neither experiences are a huge deal, just minor inconveniences that are easily avoidable. It's unfortunate we live close to the Bonney Lake location, but lately we've had much better service at the...
Read moreI am so sad to have to be writing this, but after our third visit in a row being unsatisfactory I have decided to leave a review.
My husband and I have been coming to trappers for 6 years together. It is always our go to for anniversaries and birthdays. Today was my husband’s 30th birthday and he chose to visit the BL Trappers as his birthday dinner but now I’m not sure we will be back.
The positives of this trip were the taste of the rolls, and that there was no wait for the all you can eat sushi bar which is always our preferred seating. Unfortunately the service was less than pleasant. For an hour we listened to our chef, the head chef, and the general manager curse at each other and argue about their shifts and overall hours. Multiple times during our visit our chef left his station while making our rolls to go and talk with the other two employees. They were loud, sidetracked, and came across highly unprofessional.
Our waiter was attentive but it didn’t feel personable. His check ins were walking past us as he was saying “you good?”. More than once he had asked if we needed anything but would take fairly long to circle back with what we asked for, or needed to be reminded again.
We have always loved trappers, but over the last year or so, we have noticed it going extremely down hill. I understand the service industry is tough, and you never know what someone is going through but unfortunately after several failed visits I can no longer recommend...
