Bako's Pizza — Restaurant in Boonton

Legitimately, the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. This pizza is delicious right out of the oven, eaten out of the box the next morning, reheated now that you’ve awake enough to remember to heat the leftover pizza, and STILL phenomenal days later eaten cold straight out of the fridge. Perfect crust, perfect sauce ratio, obscenely perfect cheese pull. And quick, friendly service to boot!

Twice have had pizza, and both times amazing, first one Sicilian with white sauce, chicken, ranch, bacon, hamburger — unbelievably tasty, with a hugely thick crust, weighed in at 7 lbs! Second pie was a personal size thin crust with chicken parm — again, so tasty with tender, breaded chicken, not the tough dry kind you often get as pizza toppings

Great service from a family who clearly loves their customers and takes great care of their business.

However, we were less impressed with the pizza. Price was kind of high for pizza with either super-soggy crust, or very tough and chewy (too chewy) crust. Crust was also a little over-cooked. A little extra browning towards black is great, but this was too much.
