I called in my delivery order at 5:03 PM. I was told it would arrive within 25 mins. I live 5 min. walk away (I have mobility issues so I had to order delivery for dinner) and I understand that the driver may have other deliveries to make. But, 45 mins. later and still no delivery. So, I called and was told the driver left 5 mins ago for my home. Then, a hour & 12 mins later the driver finally arrived. When I questioned him why it took so long, he said he "just left the shop and came here". So, either he or the woman I placed the order with is a liar. Needless to say, the customer service sucked because they didn't even offer a discount or refund. Ever since the original older owner left, his sons and those after have driven the place into the ground. The amount and quality of the food is horrible. I don't recommend this shop any longer. Read moreI’ve been eating here since 1986. So after a long, hard day, I didn’t get any food from any other place because I was delivering food. I decided to get a cold sub from one of South Boston’s institutions. I walked in the door and one of the, work is behind the counter, had his arms crossed. I didn’t think nothing of it so I proceeded to put my order in so being a chef for 35 years. I working at Harvard University. I know Food so I asked him what kind of ham he had. He said just ham, so I am followed up with there’s different types of ham there’s honey ham, there’s boiled ham oven, roasted ham, He said just ham. I asked him if he wants me to spend any money in his establishment he said no.
In my opinion, I think Andrew House of Pizza has to keep up with the times. I understand with a location in this area have a very colorful history. It’s unfortunate that people still think like caveman.
