El Jefe's Taqueria - Kenmore Square — Restaurant in Boston

I really do like the food! What ruins my experience every single time though (been 5 times) Is the unfriendliness of the people putting your food together. I come from a family of immigrants, but when I go to any food establishment I would hope that they speak English so I can place my order. Definitely not the case here and all they do is give you snide looks. I hope management sees this message. I know what I’m getting into so I deal with it, but whoever hires is not...

El Jefe’s Taqueria exceeded my expectations. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served fast. I had the carnitas burrito—huge, juicy, and packed with delicious ingredients. The staff was friendly and efficient, even though the place was busy.

The atmosphere is clean, upbeat, and perfect for a casual meal. Also love that they’re open late—it’s a great go-to after a night out in Boston.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty, quick Mexican food...

This place has the blandest tacos I have ever tasted lol. EVER. I ordered a shrimp taco and added plátanos maduros to it. The shrimp barely had any seasoning except for salt and the plantains were decent. The biggest disappointment was the cilantro lime rice and pinto beans. It was like they just put dry rice and canned beans together. Absolutely no flavor and horrible texture. This is not fresh, authentic...
