Firstly, the Google average rating of 4.5 doesn't do justice to the real experience with Pierce Boston, because almost all complaints are with Sonder. Pierce Boston truly deserves a 4.9+ rating if you disregard the negative feedback from Sonder guests. I've been living at Pierce Boston since the fall of 2019. Despite a rent spike this year, I still decided to stay, not only because of the fancy building and convenient location, but also because of the soft side here: a caring team of managers, concierges, and janitors. Due to their dedication, issues with package delivery, elevator, trash, etc., which might be rather common in other places, are rare here and resolved quickly. I always feel safe here, well cared for, and treated with respect. Lastly, allow me to give a special shout-out to Viviana Williams (one of the best concierges), to associates/managers Jurate, Lisbeth, and Michal, and to the entire cleaning/maintenance crew.
Final update: I just moved out after so many years, so many lovely memories with the dedicated, professional team of managers, concierges, and janitors here at Pierce Boston. During my move-out process, Kyle and Adrienne reached out to provide guidance and offer help. One of the elevator was down on my moving day, but the young lady concierge on duty (sorry that I forget her name, but Viviana knows) went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Just wanted to express my deep gratitude again for all your kindness and generosity. Wish everyone the very best and still remember my smiles and sweet treats.
Update 1: I have been very impressed with Nigel, a new concierge. He is so dedicated and thoughtful, always going above and beyond to assist me, in every way he can. A big round of applause! And heartfelt thanks!
Update 2: Another concierge, Alfrid, also deserves a shout-out. Not only has he always been observant and attentive, last week when my neighbor's movers failed to show up, he went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. I'm such a happy and proud resident here to be surrounded by kind...
Read moreI've resided at Pierce Boston for a year and would like to highlight several aspects:
-Pricing & Apartment Size: The rent is notably high compared to nearby apartments, despite comparable quality and community amenities. A distinguishing feature of Pierce Boston is its high-rise structure, but it comes with the smallest apartments in the area. Additionally, the swimming pool, a key amenity, is small, only available during summer, and gets overcrowded quickly. Its opening time at 9 am is inconvenient for early morning swims.
-Elevator Issues: The elevators frequently break down, roughly once a month, and repairs can take 3-4 days. This recurring issue has been a major inconvenience.
-Price Increases & Rental Policies: Experiencing a missed deadline for a rental offer was disappointing, especially when the subsequent offer came with a higher price tag. Learning that my unit was already re-let and that the only option was to accept an increased rent was frustrating. It seems the management is indifferent to keeping the apartments vacant rather than accommodating existing tenants.
-Overall Value: In comparison to neighboring buildings that offer similar community features, locations, and amenities, Pierce Boston seems overpriced. This lack of value for the cost is a significant drawback from a resident's...
Read moreI would like to start off by thanking the management team, especially Michael and Paige, for making my transition to life in Boston so seamless.
Several times a day I walk through the lobby and am greeted by a member of the concierge team. They amaze me in so many ways that it’s hard to list them all. After only a month, they all knew my first name, which is extremely impressive given the number of units in our building.
I’m a graduate student at the Harvard school of public health as well as a consultant for a business abroad, so having so much extra working space on the 18th floor has been invaluable to me. The members of the community that use this shared space are very respectful of one another.
I also box, so having a heavy bag in the gym, and a giant mirror for shadow boxing is another huge plus.
In short, this is an amazing community to be a part of and I would highly recommend it to anyone moving to the...
