Bowling, bites, and fun? Say less 🎳✨ If you’re looking for a night out that’s way more exciting than your usual dinner-and-drinks routine, @playatkings in Boston is where it’s at. We hit up their Seaport location and had an absolute blast—from start to finish! We got our own private lanes (you can even customize the screen with your own faces—yes really 😂), ordered some delicious apps to share, and kept the vibes going with a beer tower and a giant cocktail fishbowl that was almost too pretty to drink... almost 🍺🐠🍹 But Kings is way more than just bowling. They’ve got arcade games, pool tables, karaoke rooms for those bold enough to grab the mic, and a full sports bar if you just wanna catch the game with a drink in hand. Whether you’re planning a birthday bash, a casual date night, or just want something fun to do with your crew, this place has everything for a full night out. With multiple locations across the Greater Boston area, Kings makes it easy to turn an ordinary night into a total party. So what are you doing first—bowling, karaoke, or diving into that fishbowl? 👀 📌SAVE this post as a reminder 📬SHARE it with a friend you want to go with 👉FOLLOW @zackaryeats for more Boston recommendations 📍@playatkings (60 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA 02210) . . . . . #boston #bostonfoodies #bostonfood #bostonfoodie #bostonfoodjournal #bostonfoodgram #bostonfoodblogger #bostonfoodguide #bostoneats #bostonusa #explorepage #fyp #foryoupage #zackaryeats

I will break this review into areas of the place. MAIN Restaurant & Bar - we were seated promptly but our waitress never came. Even after having someone get her. However we commend the bartender Jay for noticing and coming out from behind the bar and handing us fully. The Old Fashioned needs some work but the Tumeric Flip was decent. The food was good as shown in the pics. All the food is a la carte and you won't hve leftover with the portion sizes. We were not sure if karaoke or a dj was setting up in the restaurant. BOWLING ALLEY - we had dinner and a lane package but they started our hour lane time way before we even finished eating. We didn't know this until we were into the game and it said four minutes left. They added time for us but interesting they startsd the lane up knowing we were eating. Our server in the lanes was the next biggest staff disappointment. She came once and we never saw her again when we didn't order drinks. We just wanted dessert. The cookie was decent but slightly dry. Bowling was fun and the scoreboards worked well. The lanes had issues (not just ours) eating up valuable time. The main dj was pretty good and played a wide variety. There is a bunch of main lanes and four hidden ones in the back you shpimd ask about. ROYAL BAR - this bartender Juliana was the staff highlight. She made good drinks. Highly friendly and went out of her way for everyone around the bar and even other staff that came in. We ordered the Mac and Cheese bites and they were pretty good. We also had the cookie dough bites and they were fantastic. POOL HALL - we didn't play but the tables looked in good condition and they were mostly full. BATHROOMS - The men's room was typical and just ok condition. Women's was the same I was told. OVERALL - The facility is meant to be a play place with some arcade games. Food. Three bars and bowling. It fits that model. Fine. We will go back and we hope some. Of the service improves.

This was my first time at Kings in Boston. It sparked my interest to come here because of a free bowling & food" @meetup " event that was being hosted at this location. The food was ok and the front staff was helpful and fay an inspiring singer (Instagram @faypriamatissemusic ) tried to make sure we was happy. The event online suggested there would be only 8 ppl but instead there was 30+ ppl and 4 lanes. (Later learning they advertised it on 4 different social media platforms) the reserved space was super crowded causing so much anxiety for us 😫. I informed the manager and staff and they offered to put me and my +2 on a 45 min waitlist. (The lane was not offer discount or any incentives) I felt I wasn't acknowledged as an event member but a regular everyday customer who just wanted to bowl and not because it was supposed to be FREE. I paid 75 bucks to bowl and $75 for food instead of free food, bowl and chance to meet and mingle with 8 ppl as suggested for this event. I'm not sure who or if anyone is to blame for my dissatisfaction and disappointment but I know I would hate for anyone to have the same night I did. Aside of all that the bar staff was a little rude and the manager tried to not show his annoyance with me.. If you know me I will try to go back and give this place another try and hope for the best. If you guys have been here let me know your experience. #LesgoTRAVEL #loviiNelli #vegan-ish💋

Just awful.

Upon arriving, we pushed two tables together in the bar area, and ordered drinks from the bartender. We asked if they could change one of the TVs to a big sporting event happening that day, rather than the track and field reruns that were playing. We were told that they would “try to find a manager to change it”. If you have to “try” to find a manager, something is wrong.

It took 20 minutes for a server to come over to take our food order, after we asked the bartender how we could get food. We ordered right away, as I could tell it would take a while for the food to come out.

In the meantime, the bus girl tried to take away my drink that was not yet empty, but I snatched it back. There was also a small fly buzzing around our drinks while we were waiting for the food. There was an oversized Jenga game made from kids’ building blocks on one of the tables in the bar area that sounds like a hundred drink glasses smashing every time it hits the ground, which was causing the girl playing to shriek at the top of her lungs every time it fell. Please get rid of this stupid game. The amount of fun the people are having while they play cannot outweigh the irritation it causes everyone else nearby.

While we were waiting for the food, our server never came back over to check on us, so we had to go back up to the bar to order drinks separately from our food tab and bring them back to the table.

Once the food finally came (an hour later), two of our six meals were missing. The server came over and explained that the kitchen had made a mistake, and that the correct food should be out very soon. Another 45 minutes later, after everyone else was done eating, the magical 45 minute grilled cheeses arrived. And they were not good.

The server was nice about it, and we assured her that we knew it wasn’t her fault. We asked to speak with a manager about taking the two meals off the bill, which she did. She also gave us a card for $10 off for our next visit, but we will never be back.

Oh, and the bowling! We put our names in when we arrived at 6 PM. We inquired after dinner at 8:30, and they told us we were next in line. 15 minutes after that we check in again, only to find that there are only two lanes available that are not reserved, so we are waiting for one of two lanes to open up. (We had called early in the day to try to make a reservation, and they did not warn us that there would be such a minimal number of lanes available). Finally at 9- THREE hours after our arrival- we get onto a lane for our ridiculously overpriced bowling. The screens with the scores on them are absolutely impossible to read. Get some better software.

Overall, I would like to give this Kings location one star. But the server was finally attentive once our food order went wrong, and the meals that eventually showed up were taken off the bill, so I’ll bump them up to two stars. But I will...

Not Very impressed, Ordered Over the phone and walked in to pick up. As i was placing our order(family of 4- 2 adults, 2 kids under 12) there was nothing brought up about not having specific items. Was told 20-25 minutes, walked to Kings, was Very impressed with the Look and thought that if we came back our children would love to bowl and play basketball. Met a Very HELPFUL lady behind the bowling bar. Advised her we were here to pick up our ToGo order. She went into the bar area, came back moments later and advised us that they were running late and it would be an additional 15ish minutes. Should have thanked her then and cancelled... but we didnt, they did seem sorta busy, so we opted to sit and have a glass of water. We waited a few moments, and noticed a man was placing an order, he came over and stated that they did not have Mozzarella Sticks anylonger... and asked what we would like to change it to... i opted for Boneless Honey BBQ wings... (4 for 8.99) waited some more and about 20 mintues later (close to 30 after we talked to the first young lady) a man brings out our Food, hands us the bill, states he was sorry for the wait, i asked him about our child's order of 3 Chicken bites, 2 mozzarella sticks and fries... advised us that he did 3 Chicken Tenders and fries as they had changed the kids menu as well, slightly upset and confused as to why this wasnt brought up earlier, we accept and just want to pay for our food and leave... waited a bit longer and noone came to take payment, So i again go and see the Young lady at the Bowling bar for assistance... she tries but has to call over the man that rang in our order... AS HE IS CHARGING my card and i am Signing for Our food, another bag comes out and he hands it to my husband. Confused i ask what was in the bag, that was the rest of our order... we leave and get back to the hotel, the Cornbread that is on the Menu with the mac and cheese, was MIA, My husband's Bourbon BBQ Burger, was dry, had the wrong onions, and "The worst burger he's had in a very long time" needless to say, WE WILL NOT BE BACK. We are giving a 2 star Because the place was Clean and tidy, and for the lady that was pleasant and helped us. But i will not reccomend this establishment. (Sorry for...

Came in to Kings to celebrate my God son’s 16th bday. Ok start, got a lane pretty quickly, but didn’t expect we wouldn’t because it’s a rainy Tuesday night, after a long weekend, no less. While we were waiting I realized it was college night, so I asked what the perks were for college students. I presented my grad school ID and was informed that it was invalid because it didn’t have my birthdate on it. I was puzzled because I have earned multiple degrees from different academic institutions and NONE of the IDs have EVER had my birthday listed in it. Honestly, I think they thought my school ID was fake because I don’t look like the Ivy League type...super stereotypical. This isn’t even the worst part of the night. After arguing with them and showing them my drivers license, which they didn’t ask me for when I ordered a beer, by the way (MA state law), we ended up getting free bowling with the stipulation that we ordered food and drinks...perfect because we were hungry! Pizza was charred, but the calamari was decent and boneless wings were yummy. But here’s where it gets really bad. The staff ended our bowling session in the middle of a game...it literally just stopped working. OK, so we still had food so we were finishing that, and MULTIPLE waitstaff came over trying to remove our plates and cups that still had food and drink in them...overpriced food and drink may I add. They literally kicked us out of the seats and sat another group, when there were many other lanes unoccupied. My God son’s bday treat came out (thank you for that, the only reason you get 2 stars) but he didn’t even get a chance to enjoy the milkshake because we were forcibly removed from our seats! I asked if he could get a to-go cup and they said they just ran out! Seriously, such bull. MOST WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY I have ever spent. Never ever have I ever patronized an establishment, dropped $100 in less than 2 hours and be treated so poorly. I will...
