I experienced a strict discrimination with over-reaction from the worker who identified himself as a manager of the restaurant, which I feel like and identify as some kind of ‘racism’ at this moment of writing this feedback. He had a verythin voice and yellowish hair.
At first, I saw the kiosk in front and ordered the menu by using it as I thought the order is done by that, and no worker notified about that. As I tried to get a seat, this guy authoritatively blocked with saying “who told you to see here?”. That was fine. I explained and asked if I can take a seat even if the order went in as take-out since I didn’t know. But he refused so I asked for refund (it was less than a minute or so since I put the order to kiosk). He even said no to that.
I understand that the restaurant had take-out and dine-in, but once I notified them the confusion that the kiosk in front borught to a consumer, he should have at least attempted to give a solution for it. However, he didn’t and was about to force me to eat outside. So, I asked him to call a manager of this restaurant because this kind of happening doesn’t make sense at all. And he said he’s a manager while it doesn’t look like or qualify as a manager at all(I’m pretty much sure he lied at that moment) and he suddenly changed his position and started overreacting with saying he will call a police. A police for what? For asking to dine-in for misput take-out order or for asking for a refund? I complained this is non-sense at all for his action and words. I could have got a refund after mentioning that I will call a credit card company to cancel. However, I think I’m somewhat discriminated by being treated differently than other customers at that place. Quite first hearing a restaurant worker threatening me to call a police for asking for...

Hi and welcome to another episode of javing it with Javier. Let's see what we are javing today. Today I am trying their salmon with potatoes and Brussel sprouts with a vanilla cheesecake and lava cake to finish off my meal. Let's dive right into the review.
The appearance of the main course was stunning. The salmon was neatly placed on top of the Brussel sprouts and potatoes with balsamic vinaigrette drawn on top. Having my first taste, it tasted disgusting and the strong vinaigrette taste overpowered everything. The salmon itself was not marinated and was pretty dry and didn't make the main course any better. The potatoes were slightly crispy with a soft inner and was the best part of the dish. The cheesecake here is BIG. It was quite thick and heavy but I enjoy all types of cheesecakes. The lava cake however, was the highlight of the night. Warm soft cake mixing well with the cold vanilla ice cream.
Service was really good throughout the night until we ordered the cheesecake. It didn't come for 20 minutes and I had to wave down a waiter to check on our order. Our waitress probably forgot, but she should've checked back on us within the 20 minutes.
The food was marked up which is what I would expect at the airport. The salmon was $36 USD which comes out to $45 CAD and what I feel is extremely expensive for what they gave. Getting a $45 dish in Toronto would be quite luxurious in comparison.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed in their salmon. It would've been better if they didn't add any vinaigrette dressing on top. Aside from the long wait, their service was fairly good but definitely could be improved. And that's it for today's episode of javing it with Javier. And remember...
Read moreI recently dined at Stephanie's Restaurant, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the level of service provided did not meet even the most basic standards.
Despite the restaurant not being full at the time, it took over 20 minutes for us to finally speak to a waitress. This excessive wait time was incredibly frustrating and left us feeling neglected and unimportant as customers. It seemed as though the staff had no regard for our time or dining experience.
What made matters worse was the impression that we were being treated poorly due to our ethnicity. As a Latino individual, I couldn't help but notice that other guests who arrived after us were attended to promptly, while we were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. This blatant discrimination, if indeed it was the case, is completely unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of Stephanie's Restaurant.
As a result of the subpar service, I was forced to eat in a rush. The food itself was mediocre at best, but the poor service overshadowed any redeeming qualities the restaurant may have had. It's disheartening to think that a place that claims to offer a pleasant dining experience would treat its customers with such disdain.
In conclusion, my experience at Stephanie's Restaurant was highly disappointing. The prolonged wait time, the feeling of being treated differently based on my ethnicity, and the rushed dining experience all contributed to a negative overall impression. I strongly urge the management to address these issues and improve their service standards to ensure that no customer has to endure such a disappointing experience...
