We were really trying to like this establishment but too many negatives for us. From the very beginning, over the phone Corey told us that the parking was controlled by the condo parking attendant. Well...that was BS, according to the condo parking attendant, Yacht Haven controls their own parking. If it's their parking why are they charging customers for parking? We could not check in until about 4pm but they didn't have a secure luggage storage area or anyone to help us with our luggage. We had to bring our own heavy luggage up to the room. The room was not as clean as we expected for the wait. The king size bed looked like it weighed a ton and had never been moved for cleaning, the furniture was dated and worn. During our entire stay we saw minimal staff on the premises. Overnight, they would leave out a glass bucket of some beverage and unappetizing cookies left uncovered in the hallway. Not good. On our last day, the new guy could not print out the full invoice properly. We had to ask the manager for assistance and he determined the second page was left in the printer. The location is very nice on the water with great views but we think you can get better...
Read moreI made a booking with Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina on 1 April through the inn’s website. The promotional rate was for a specific room, and the completed booking was for one night in August 2021. The next day I received a call and email from the inn’s general manager. The email stated the rate I booked through the hotel website was an error, and I could either pay the hotel 5 times the rate I booked, or they would cancel my reservation. I replied saying that I regretted their booking system had an error, but I would like to keep the booking I paid for at the rate that was agreed to when I booked it. The Yacht Haven Inn’s general manager replied back and reiterated that I could give them 5 times what I had already paid (and implied that I should be grateful for even that deal), or he would cancel my hotel reservation if I hadn’t paid the additional amount within 24 hours.
Needless to say the experience felt like a hustle, and it is not one that I would wish on any guest or customer. Boston has a lot of options for hotels, and I recommend choosing one of the many others the city has to offer. Shouldn't be hard to find a place with better...
Read moreBoston Yacht Haven & Marina is the perfect location for exploring Boston on foot. Our room was spacious, well designed with plenty of storage for our clothes and luggage, had a balcony overlooking the sea and quality bedding, towels and accessories. There was a fridge, ice bucket, tea and coffee machine, bottles of water and a complimentary bottle of Italian red wine and biscotti.|We knew breakfast was included in the price and expected it to be buffet style like other places we have stayed at. To find out you could choose your breakfast, the time you wanted it and that it was delivered to your room was a very pleasant surprise. We were lucky with the weather so had our breakfast on the balcony each day.|The staff were friendly, polite and helpful.|The location is ideal for sightseeing in Boston. We visited the Aquariam, the Boston Tea Party, had an historic harbor cruise and also did Duck tour of Boston, all of which are worth a visit.|We love Italian food so the staff recommended we go to the North End which is about a 15 minute walk from the Yacht Haven, where there are over 50 restaurants to...
