The Puddingstone Tavern — Restaurant in Boston

We went to try a new place and were disappointed. Pros: cool vibes and nice people, not too full when we arrived and were able to grab bar seats right away Cons: got our first round and one I finished it took awhile to get a second drink. We ordered food and after an hour we asked about it. The bartender asked and when she came back showed no promptness in giving us an update, as they socialized. We finally asked the other bartender to please close out our tab as our food had not arrived. The first bartender finally got back to us and said our food had gone to someone else. The staff were also on their phone’s frequently. Pro: they did gives us our drinks for free

Final thoughts: a better food expedition process would benefit the bar, enhanced customer service training, as well...

I live in the area, so I go for their weekday deals occasionally. My favorite is burger and a beer. I'm pretty sure they bring their food in from the pizzeria next door, but it's decent and fresh so I'm not complaining (same owner?). Great selection of beer on tap, my favorite is the Chimay. Looks like a fun place to go and hang out with a group of friends. They have plenty of TV's, a cabinet with assorted games, and a patio in the back if it's nice out. Only been there once when it's busy, and they could've used another bartender, but service is generally excellent. Very clean...

Pretty ok local bar with indoor & outdoor seating. Was somewhat disappointed by the limited menu. Bartenders were nice but not conversational and I was really put off that they served me a drink while I was in the bathroom and just left it on the table for when I came back--felt very unsafe considering I was a young woman there by myself. Had hoped to mingle with some locals while there but everyone seemed to be occupied with their own groups, which wasn't the fault of the restaurant of course.
