Wok n Talk — Restaurant in Boston

My experience was through Grubhub, if you’re planning on dining or going directly through please skip!!

I ordered Wok n Talk through Grubhub. My order was place well before the restaurant’s stated closing/delivery time on both the app and their website.

After placing the order on the app I noticed instead of a cartoon car showing where my food was there was a clickable circle stating the restaurant delivered their food privately and to contact them for any questions. So I did. Around delivery time I contacted them and asked about my food, they told me it should be there momentarily.

20 minutes after my delivery time i contacted them again and they said that due to technical difficulties they never had my order and would be delivering it in 30 minutes. When I asked them for some sort of tracking/driver number they told me it was a privacy issue and cancelled the order.

Again, experienced may differ, but I would not go...

So i ordered my dinner just before 11:30pm as I was extremely tired from the work that day to be able to cook and had an early start in the morning. And i do like the food from this place some times. So i decided to order and once again as they do time and time again they don't prepare or send my order. I waited until 2 am (their closing time). While i waited i tried to call them multiple times but they disconnected my call again and again but i never got my food.

Tonight once again. The same story. It's been 1 and a half hour since i ordered and they're about to close and they haven't even begun to prepare my order as GrubHub says. But I've learned my lesson now and shall never order from here again. Y'all really want people to strave don't you.. seriously man.. waiting for food for hours on end is just so annoying and sad i can't even begin to explain just...

Why does this place have a lower rating?!! They are one of the best, yet most affordable Chinese takeouts in the area. They even deliver home at cheap price (distance contingent)! Servings are also generous. They serve till 3am! The other nearest one closes at 9.30!!

I have tried several of their items. I order pupu platter for one, regularly. I would say they are quite outstanding for the fresh quality of ingredients and cooking in the entire area! Yet the others nearby, who have occasional quality fluctuations have better stars!!

May be they had a bad past and more people now have to write to wipe that out and promote them to the better they deserve! Try and judge yourself!

And yes, google has a point for atmosphere, it has none, there are some tables/chairs, but they are a takeout place! So don't penalize...
