Ziggy’s is the ideal neighborhood pizza place and is easily one of the best pizzerias in Boston. When I first ate here, I admittedly didn’t expect much, but I was completely blown away. Everything we’ve tried, from the pizza to the wings and sandwiches, has been excellent. The crust is always light and crispy and the sauce and cheese work so well together, not to mention the sauce-cheese-toppings ratio is always spot on. The quality of the ingredients jumps out with every bite. The slices are very good too if you need a quick snack. The balsamic vinegar is my personal favorite, but you really can’t go wrong with anything. The people who run Ziggy’s are also great, they’re super friendly and accommodating and you can tell they really care about the food they make. My friends and I became regulars after our first time here and it’s now a tradition that every time we have people over, we get Ziggy’s and everyone loves it. Our personal favorite pizzas are the Margherita, Super Nicky, Buffalo and BBQ Chicken, and the Reenzo. The steak and cheese is a winner as well, holding up to some of the best in Philly. Overall, Ziggy’s makes truly delicious pizza with a menu full of other hits and it’s run by an equally incredible group of people. It’s criminally underrated and deserves all the success it gets and more. We will sorely miss this place when we move out of Oak Square, but we’ll still be back all the time. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about Ziggy’s, you just have to see it and taste it...
Read moreThe owners, the food, the service, the simplicity of ordering, the variety, all excellent.
This restaurant has a local joint kind of feel. I'd imagine there are several 100s of regulars that visit here from the surrounding area during the busy work week. Yet, I've never had to wait long for my food.
The flavors of the sauces for the wings have all been delicious, savory, and not too heavy in my opinion.
The sandwiches are well prepared, enjoyable to eat, and have great flavor. I have only tried maybe 3 of the sandwiches so far, but each one left me wanting more, with no complaints. And I don't mean wanting more as in terrible ingredients getting me addicted, just good food.
The staff are all kind, and the owners work there regularly, which I value. It shows me they care about their food, their customers, their employees, and their business. Now they may not be there forever once their lives grow in different directions, but they are there now and doing great work.
I highly recommend this place for a delicious, somewhat heavier kind of meal. I enjoy heavier lunches with moderate to light breakfast and light dinner. There are some good Salad options here also, so you don't have to get the fries or heavier meats if you don't want. They do serve burgers, and quality pizza as well.
10/10 thanks everyone for your hard work and dedication to your...
Read moreReally great pizza. I’ve been twice and ordered the Bacon Buffaroni Ranch twice which is absolutely superb and I can’t recommend enough (in the top 5 of best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had). Can’t speak for the other topping pizzas though.
An odd note is that this pizza doesn’t reheat well, and if you try to I’d recommend microwaving with a glass of water to prevent the crust from becoming too tough.
I’ve also ordered a side both times, the first time mozzarella sticks, and the second time the boneless wings.
The mozzarella sticks are extremely average. There’s not much to say than that I’ve had better and worse from places similar to Ziggys.
The boneless wings were exceptional though (I got the buffalo flavoring, with a ranch sauce). The first note I want to make is that the two options are actually “5 piece” and “10 piece” (they’re ordering menu marks it as “single” and “double”). These wings were a really pleasant surprise. The chicken felt like much better quality than I expected, and the flavor was true to “buffalo” where it has a lot of flavor and has spice (but not too much).
From my experience, you can’t...
