Fun place to dine at and it's rather unusual for the area, with rather a contemporary feel, a stark color scheme and sharp lines aesthetically and architecturally inside contrasting the exterior of the patio and the town even. The beer selection is par for the course and cold. Young girls serve and will give recommendations of their personal favorites while also keeping a watchful eye for when you may be ready for another (I dislike waiting with an empty glass anywhere). The menu is interesting and left me wanting to try many items so return visits will be a must. When i come back I'll have to try The Dillinger from the menu, which sounded much larger then my appetite on the single occasion I've been to TD. The only con I noticed was perhaps the lack of smiling from any staff in the establishment, whether coming back from delivering items to patrons out on the front patio or while preparing drinks or most anything except while speaking directly to a customer (everyone smiled then), it just made for a slight feel that there was no joy in performing their jobs respectively. That did not take away from how good everything else was but, it did make one wonder if the staff wasn't paid highly enough, are overworked, understaffed or what their issue behind the scenes maybe. All in all The Dillinger is a fun place with excellent food and drink selection and I will recommend it to anyone visiting Boulder City for Lunch or Dinner.

Food The Macaroni Bites were delicious! I wish I could have had more, and the breading on the chicken in the Messy Chicken Sandwich was awesome. The others with me also generally enjoyed their food, but I didn't inquire more about their opinions. Service To the point and friendly. A pigeon flew in and got stuck, and the staff successfully helped it back outside without hurting it or getting hurt in the process. Additionally, they always were there when you expected them. Atmosphere I thought it was very dark inside despite it being around midday. The design of the menus was pleasing, and they had some nice-looking tables outside. I felt like the decorations on the walls were sometimes a little lacking, and the place was a lot smaller than I thought it'd be, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Otherwise, I liked the music they played, and the restaurant was clean— except for the bathroom, where there was some weird sticky gray stuff that was like snow sludge.

We decided to go to Boulder City and explore a little and just in time for lunch. The Dillinger was recommended to us so why not give it a try. The atmosphere was good and we were greeted right away when we stepped inside. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. The inside is dark and small but we got a booth in the back and it worked fine. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a few things and it didn't take too long to come out. We ordered a chicken sandwich and it was supposed to be spicy but it really didn't have much flavor, we also ordered chicken wings and they were spicy but even asking for them to be well done they were a bit mushy. The fries were good but not so hot , my mom's burger was far from gourmet it definitely seemed to be a premade patty and was on the small side. Honestly the food was just ok and we wouldn't go out of our way to go here again unless someone wanted to go.

Staff was very friendly and the vibe is pretty chill. Right next door to a quirky antique shop.

My friend and I both ordered the bacon blue cheese burger, which was on special that day. Burgers were cooked exactly as we had asked (medium) but, sadly, had very little flavor what-so-ever, and we could barely taste the blue cheese (I think if you are making a blue cheese burger you should use a nice strong blue cheese so you can actually taste that there IS blue cheese on the burger). They were definitely edible, just not what we had expected when we saw that ~1/4 of the menu is comprised by some type of burger. We doused them with salt and pepper and they were better but still just a bit disappointing. I almost wonder if there was a mistake in the kitchen and they completely forgot to season the entire batch of burger...?

My friend ordered an egg on top, and cinnamon on his sweet potato fries, and received neither (not sure if that was a mistake in the kitchen or by the waitress). Waitress DID bring an egg (we were starving by then so didn't mention the lack of cinnamon sugar on the fries) but of course that meant more waiting.

We also both ordered the blood orange cider, which I thought was delicious but gave my friend heart burn. When we told the waitress she was happy to bring some soda water (which we were not charged for) but she still charged us for the cider (fine because I just went ahead and drank it but many places would have just taken the half full glads away and not charged us, which would have been preferred- though we did not ASK to not be charged so....).

Overall, a nice enough place to grab a bite to eat, just not deserving of more than...

Mood- Burgers

We were in the area and I will admit the hangry started to take over. I originally wanted to try another place and the line was out the door down into the street. As we were walking in the area with antique shops, I was surprised - that The Dillinger had no lines. So this was the day to finally try this place. It has always been packed every time I am on this side.

Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever we choose. Drink order was taken and menus were given. We were asked if there were any questions. The menu is pretty straightforward honestly.

We opted for the Dillinger, and the 45 Special along with a hot tea. Can I say the portion size of the Dillinger was insane. I almost am tempted to bring my big appetite friends here to see if they can handle the food challenge. And goodness the cheesy goodness of the 45 Special was just what I needed.

Interior is quaint. There are few table and chairs inside along with outdoor seating as well. You are able to sit up at the bar as well. There was a television playing the game so I was truly in my happy place. Music was going in the background as well. Everything was very clean .

Would most def recommend - pricing in my opinion for the portions was pretty good. The staff were very courteous and hospitable. My table was checked on continually and we never once...
