Went in with my girlfriend today. My girlfriend was the only black person in the entire store. It was packed but their employee with a blunt cut mullet and sunglasses followed us for about 25 minutes. I saw them look and glare towards us numerous times. We weren't even taking items off of the hangers nor trying them on. I only had a small personal bag and they still followed and watched us as if we were going to steal something. Worst thing is, on the way out they shouted passive aggressivly, "Have a good day," from the SECOND FLOOR OF THE STORE. No one had said good bye to any other customers. Extremely disappointed, don't support these racists.
Edit: This is a funny response coming from the owner, as we saw the blunt cut, "non-employee" go into the "employee only" back area quite a couple of times. The non-employee walked around the upstairs part, only conversing with white guests. They even went as far as making a sale! I didnt know I, the customer, could now make sales here! While they continued, "not being an employee," we were never acknowledged or addressed, until as we were leaving the store. In fact, we were followed insultingly close, with the person following only a couple of feet away. I was born and raised here in Colorado and we have been followed in stores many times unfortunately, but never to this extent. We have been to clothing stores owned by POCs and she has never faced this kind of treatment before. A POC owned place would never act this way and then go on about how the store is "poc" owned. Based on your social media, its not looking very "POC owned." All I'm gonna say is, to any black people visiting or living in boulder, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
And for those who don't heed my warning, just know there are no procedures tags on anything; they dictate the price at...

Read moreIn general, this is a very cool store with some very cool pieces. 2/3 of us left with clothes but left feeling cornered and ripped off. As avid supporters of small businesses, it left a bad taste in our mouths. First of all, there is no pricing on any of the items and it seems like the pricing is just whatever the employee feels like they want it to be. It’s $5 off an item if you pay cash. I was interested in 3 items, each very unique and good quality. I’m someone who has a hard time finding clothes that fit me right so that is why I ultimately decided to purchase them despite the high prices. Since I wanted to buy 3 items, I asked if the employee could offer some sort of small discount - she said yes. Then I realized, the “discount” she gave me wasn’t a discount bc I paid cash anyways. At that point the vibe was pretty uncomfortable so I paid and left. My friend also was told a price and then it got switched last minute. Again, it was such a unique piece that she decided to pay, but ouch, how disappointing.
Update: when I got home, I realized one of my jackets had...
