ABC Kids Climbing — Attraction in Boulder

Not a place I would want to take my child for a birthday again. Nobody greeted us or explained how the event would go. Wouldn't let me Belay my own kid because I have to be certified in their gym (even though I'm already certified by the Austin Rock Gym), told us at the beginning there would be instructors to belay the Children but they only let them use the auto belays the entire time; which stinks because the 1 wall my 6 year old could have completed was manual belay only. Never gave us the t-shirt that was part of the package and threw out my kids birthday candle without asking us first. That's a sentimental object for some people! Personally I was insulted that they made me watch some dumb video on how an auto-belay worked as though I was a beginner. I don't like being treated like a teenager. Won't bring my kid back here. You guys need better management.

To Manager Response: I did request that my child get to use the easier wall with the manual belay. I was told that there weren't enough instructors. I paid for the birthday. Last thing I want to hear is "No the birthday guest can't do that because we aren't prepared to honor your birthday reservation due to not having...

Why? Professional classes at all levels, they fit the class to your kid level, not age!! Easy to navigate site Extremely kind people They get us parents, no other venue does it as well as they do. Example: they allow drop offs, yes, you don't have to stay. Normally, you would want to stay and see your kid flourish, but in those moments when you, the single parent, need to run a quick errand, you can!!

The front desk was empty when we dropped in. The waiting time to be greeted was like 10 minutes without any other customers waiting in front of us. This could have been due to the on going activities, but this was also an indication of the under staff condition.

The gym building felt like a tin house without a sufficient lighting. Therefore, the overall environment is a bit on the dim side. More windows may be helpful in this regard.

The poor rating is given to the management of the company rather than the quality of class trainers, which I am sure would be great...
