⭐️ Negative Review ⭐️
I have had nothing but problems with the Bountiful location. A few weeks ago, I placed an order and went in 30 minutes later. Not one person greeted me. I sat patiently for 20 minutes before asking about my order, only to be told they were “working on it.” Another 15 minutes went by, I asked again, and was told the same thing. Meanwhile, I had my daughter’s friend with me, and her parents were already waiting at my house to pick her up. I finally had to leave without her cookie. When I returned, I was told they were actually out of the cookies we had ordered.
Yesterday, my daughter asked if we could try again. I placed my order, arrived 30 minutes later, waited another 20 minutes, and watched them completely skip over my order to fill in-store customers’ orders. After waiting 45 minutes, I asked again only to be told, once more, they didn’t have the cookie I ordered. Since DoorDash wouldn’t let me request a refund (because the store had “already started it”), the manager told me I’d have to wait 2–5 business days to see my money back.
This morning, I decided to give it one last chance through the Crumbl app. I placed my order at 10:00 pm last night to be picked up at 8:00 a.m. I got a notification my order was being prepared, so I sent my mom to pick it up. When she arrived, the employees were locked out and hadn’t even started baking. Soon after, I got a notification saying my order was completed and picked up. I called several times, no answer. Two hours later, I finally reached someone who admitted they “mixed it up with a delivery” and marked it complete by mistake. But then I was told they couldn’t give me a time when my order would be done.
Not to mention, watching the employees work is painful. They are incredibly slow, don’t acknowledge you, and clearly have no idea what they are doing. Each time I’ve been there, I’ve watched multiple customers give up and walk out.
And I don’t for one second blame these poor teenagers for the disaster of a business. This falls on the owners, who clearly are not doing their part in running a business and making sure it is managed and operated properly.
That was the final straw. Three strikes, you’re out. I will NEVER return to this location. The customer service is horrible, and it’s obvious the owners don’t care about properly training or supporting their managers...
Read moreSet in one of Bountiful's most doomed locations, save it be the corner of 100 E and 500 S (now Bank of American Fork), Crumbl Cookies represents yet another totally unnecessary Cookie/Soda shop and testament of Utahns' befuddling and unique addiction to overpriced sugary sodas and cookies. In fact, Utah has more soda and cookie shops than ice cream parlors which makes no sense. Regardless of past sentiment, I decided to go to Crumbl with an open mind, as I love supporting local businesses, and was hardly satisfied.
I ordered several large chocolate chip cookies, the magnum opus of cookies, which are a sound indicator of a bakery's prowess. The box/packaging is admittedly well done, with a bright pink box that is easily recognizable and a delivery option that is another alluring and dangerous temptation.
Pent up with excitement, I opened the box and the cookies looked gooey, texturally pleasing, and gargantuan, almost as big as my hand. They smelled very fragrant and delectable. Looks deceive, however, and I found the cookies overwhelmingly sweet.
The dough was far too pudgy, and was relegated by an overly moist texture. The chocolate chips, while distributed generously and melting nicely, were exceedingly sweetened, and coupled with the already sugar-bombed dough, was far too overbearing. A darker semi-sweet chip would serve much better here. The cookie contributed to such a degree of richness that it was unbearable to eat more than half, and there was a noticeable lack of bite. The cookie needed a bit more crunch, and less heavy handed with the sugar. At $3.00 each, these definitely did not make the cut. This cookie may have been good, if I were a preschooler.
As someone who makes a lot of cookies, I find that with Crumbl, it's better to pull out the old KitchenAid Mixer and do them myself than even have them delivered. Crumbl will most likely end up in the ash heap of history like its location's predecessors (Yogurt Stop, Beehive Bakery et al.) if it does not make changes to their exorbitant sugar levels. Overall, I was underwhelmed by my experience and do not plan...
Read moreFun store when it first opened, but needs help. I needed to order 50 cookies so I went in a week early. They couldn’t tell me flavors they would have, so they told me I would have to call or come in at the beginning of the week to finish the order. When I called the phone number told me 5 of the flavors and put me on a continual loop so I couldn’t talk to them. When I went to order they told me I had to have at least 10 cookies per flavor. I asked if they had a sample of the flavors before I had to buy ten of each and they said no. So I bought 50 big cookies not knowing if they were any good. When she went to check on my order for me they hadn’t even written down my name when I came and paid for them. Also when I walked in the music was so loud I couldn’t hear what the girl was saying. I finally had to ask her to turn down the music so we could talk. There’s no place to sit down if you do buy a cookie. I hope the cookies are good for the price. Service was shoty. How hard would a small sample and not making me buy in incriminate of 10s be.
Almost a year later I tried getting a cookie. Thought I would give it another chance. Just wanted a choc chip cookie. Went in and there were 3 people making cookies. Each one looked at me and went back to what they were doing. Stood there for 3 out 4 minutes and was not even acknowledged ,so I left. What kind of service is that. Cutlers wasn’t busy and they will...
