Rumbi Island Grill — Restaurant in Bountiful

This is the third time that I have been here. The first time was about two years ago, and the first time was three years ago. The food has always been poor. The place is relatively clean, but the mood lighting of the restaurant is a little dim for a "Hawaiian style" restaurant. It's gloomy.

The first time I came, I can't remember what I ate, but it wasn't good enough to warrant a return for another year. Two years ago I ordered the Hawaiian style burger. Nothing special, a little boring. This time, is my last time. I tried the Hawaiian burger again, and it was awful. There was plenty of meat, which was nice, but it had zero flavor. You get a burger for the variety of flavors. This guy had just the ground beef flavor. BORING. I mean, one bite was just beef flavor, then the next bite had a hint of pineapple, along with the soggy bun they served. Three times, over the course of three years, and the place still can't get it right. Never going back.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food and such nice servers! It was my first time going here and they had great vegan options. I got the Sauteed tofu with steamed veggies and brown rice. The brown rice is boiled in coconut milk 🥰 I also got the Hawaiian teriyaki sauce. It was so yummy! I absolutely loved the tofu, it was the perfect consistency & very well cooked. It was the perfect combination of slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. 100% reccomend this restaurant to anyone who wants a delicious island-type meal! The steamed veggies were very fresh and the brown rice was PERFECT! I will definitely be coming here again. I highly respect restaurants that serve vegan options and have friendly staff 🥰 I usually don't eat past the point of not being hungry, but the food here was SO GOOD that I ate the entire half size bowl😅 which was a lot of food for me. We had an awesome dinner tonight at Rumbi’s! We have not been to this restaurant in many years. The food was so amazing. My husband mentioned going tomorrow to get their soup that I wanted to try.

Brayden was an amazing server. He had such a positive attitude and was super fast and efficient serving our food. We have a family of five and he was more than willing to accommodate us.(teens/adults)

I always love their sweet potato fries. We also love their chocolate lava cakes. Each of our dishes was good and I’ll highlight them below, but I got the chicken and shrimp, and it was amazing.

The serving portions are not huge, but I actually appreciate the quality of food rather than the quantity of food. I still felt full when we were done.
