My family and I were in the area for church, when the kids asked for Chipotle. We walked in at 11 A.M, 15 minutes after they opened and my kids pointed out that we were the only ones in there...they've never seen an empty Chipotle lol! There were 3 team members who turned around at the sound of us coming in, then proceeded to turn back around and continue what they were doing, without so much as a "hello, we will be with you in a moment." No "hi" or anything. We walk up to the counter and continued to be ignored. We waited a couple minutes, then I asked my husband if he wanted to leave, as nobody was assisting us. Once I asked that, one team member turned around and asked us something...I couldn't hear him, as he was speaking very low and quietly. He had a look of disgust on his face, as if he didn't even want to be at work that day. I assumed he asked what I wanted, so I proceeded to order a chicken bowl. I didn't get a good look at the chicken until it was actually in my bowl... it wasn't until then that I saw every single piece of chicken was burnt! However, I'm not that picky, so I went with it! My husband ordered steak tacos and the kids got quesadillas. I asked for 2 chicken and 2 regular cheese...he only put chicken on 1 of them. I had to tell him, again, to put chicken on the other quesadilla. Anyway, I grabbed the kids' empty soda cups to fill them up. As soon as I pushed the lever, soda sprayed all over me! That's when I realized the spouts hadn't been attached that morning! I had to tell the cashier, who then quickly attached them for me. He was the friendliest one in the bunch! I got the soda, sat back down, and started eating my food. Now, I don't mind a bit of burnt food, however, that much burnt chicken was very disappointing. I told my husband I didn't really like the taste of it, and he replies, "yeah, um, and my steak is cold, too." I thought maybe the veggies and cheese had cooled his steak off a bit..... no, not the case! I tried a piece and it was, indeed, cold! I told him, considering the service and quality of food we'd received thus far, to bring his tacos back up and get them remade. He went up, without his food, and asked if their meat is prepared fresh? They said yes, to which my husband responded that their steak was cold, as if it came out of a refrigerator. A lady at the counter told my husband there was no way it could be cold because they had JUST prepared it. That part annoyed me a bit, because we are not the type to make up reasons we don't like food. I COULD'VE said something about my burnt burrito bowl, but I did not. Anyhow, my husband sat back down and continued eating his cold tacos. He was thirsty and realized he didn't get himself a drink, so he went back up to the counter and asked for a complimentary soda to make up for the tacos... they obliged. Once we finished, we cleaned up and left, and of course, there were no parting salutations from the team. Call me spoiled, if you will, but our regular Chipotle, at Arundel Mills Mall, is ALWAYS on point! They greet you as soon as you walk in the door, they are very thorough in their work, and they will say goodbye as you leave, no matter how slow or busy the restaurant is! THAT is true customer service! I gave 2 stars... one for the friendly cashier and one for the complimentary soda. Other than that, it was a...
Read moreI've literally been to dozens of Chipotle establishments in different towns & states (I love their food that much), and this one located in the town center of Bowie, Maryland is absolutely the best of them all! I truly had an awesome time and wonderful experience because of the professionalism & accurate speed of the staff, especially the phenomenal hard working manager named Essence! She is extremely personable & very passionate in caring for her customers. Just a brief interaction with her will leave you feeling like your dining at home. Essence is the epitome of excellence when it comes to great customer service. I had a birthday gathering for my daughter who invited a dozen of her friends to celebrate with her. Essence was so delightful in gently informing us on how we could enjoy our time there, as Chipotle is not the venue to have a private space with decorations for a party. Nevertheless, we had an extraordinary time in fellowship with good friends and of course good food. Essence's managerial skills are superior in that she balances competence with compassion as she takes charge and leads her team. This is my favorite Chipotle and I'm looking forward to returning...
Read more1, 10, or 50 people, this Chipotle moves at the same speed: slow.
Early, mid day, late, doesn’t matter. This location is inept at providing timely service.
There’s also a chance you show up to the front door and see a sign that says they’ve closed hours before normal store hours.
Not sure what’s up with this location, but it says a lot that I frequent another store in the Town Center weekly and opt to drive 15 minutes to another Chipotle instead of walking distance to this one.
The last few times I’ve walked in there, I walk right back out. There would only be 2-3 people in line, but I guess that’s when the online orders take precedence. Everyone in line to walk in and order was watching the employees make numerous online orders.
It seems there’s a new employee every other day, and my burrito suffers for it. As it is never properly wrapped.
I know not to order online here, because that’s an experience I’ve heard isn’t as convenient as it is intended. I’ve often walked in and got my food well before people waiting for online orders got theirs.
I hope action is taken soon to rectify these issues, because this location is just too convenient for...
