Sleep Number — Hotel in Bowie

OH MY WORD....What IMPECCABLE customer service my husband & I received!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm inviting welcome & radiant smiles by Jessica Greenwood who was our Sales Associate & her co-worker Bobby.

Jessica was EXTREMELY knowledgeable & showed a GENUINE interest with our needs...why were looking for a new bed ...what we knew about sleep number beds as well as our budget. She used her knowledge to not just make a sale on what would profit them, but to match us with what would profit us.

I shared with her that I'm scheduled to have a bilateral mastectomy & some lymph nodes removed due to an early stage of breast cancer & will have immediate reconstruction using my stomach fat/tissue/skin. This will be an additional surgery where an incision will be made from hip to hip.

Getting in & out of bed will be a bit challenging during my recuperation at the beginning & wanted a bed that will be able to assist with getting as comfortable as possible. To have low back pain already along with hot flashes & night sweats & my husband suffering with disk issues....yeah....comfort is a must!

She matched us with a queen dual C4 & a dual temp half queen pad to help me regulate my body temp at night. Jess, aka, MY SUNSHINE...my hubby & I can't thank you ENOUGH!!!! You perform your job with a grace & passion that is unmatched & is refreshing!!! Talk about going ABOVE & BEYOND!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

My husband & I are so excited to have our new bed delivered on Friday April 20th, just 7 days of the order. Our sleep # in the store was 50 for me & 90 for my husbsnd. We are looking forward to using or Sleep IQ app & me with my Fit Bit Blaze.

As another couple walked in the other employee Bobby welcomed them & made them feel just like Jessica made is feel. By this time we were finishing up our purchase when another employee walked in named Janelle. She met my husband & I & congratulated is on our purchase . Just then another customer walked in & Janelle started what I call the HJJJ ~ HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY welcome again.

I am hoping someone in the executive levels of Sleep Number reads this review and acts upon it accordingly. My husband and I were in need of a new Sleep Number mattress. The one we had was old, tired, and just needed to be replaced. In fact, so many years have passed that Sleep Number now has a lineup of options that didn’t exist back then…meaning we had to make a trip to a store to evaluate our choices. We were not only impressed with the choices of mattress, but with our salesperson, Akeem Johnson.

Mr. Johnson welcomed us as we entered the store. We had his complete, undivided attention the entire time we were there. He told us that he had his “listening ears” on, that he wouldn’t try to upsell us, but wanted to understand what we were looking for. His actions exemplified those very concepts. In fact, Mr. Johnson exemplified everything a customer (and a business) would want in a Customer Service position. He listened to our needs, repeated them back to us for clarity, asked us questions that helped narrow down our ultimate choice.

Additionally, keeping public health in mind and to reduce transmission of germs, Mr. Johnson ensured our use of pillow covers while we were “trying out” mattresses, and wiped down my credit card for me at payment time. We did, in fact, end up purchasing something more expensive than we originally intended to because he was able to demonstrate and communicate the benefits to us of the better quality mattress set.

Overall, we were impressed with Mr. Johnson’s professionalism, personality, and attention to detail. We highly recommend the Bowie Sleep Number store, and Mr. Johnson...

Buying a new bed can be very stressful. It can be worse than buying a new car, speaking from experience. I was so stressed that I gave up and slept on a blow up mattress for a year. I had heard nothing but good things about the Sleep Number bed. A family member and a few friends have them. I recently visited friends in GA and the husband could not say enough about the bed. He even offered to take me to the store to try one out he was excited. I waited until I got back home and decided that I would go try it out. For myself. The experience was amazing. I was sold on the bed the moment I go on It. I felt like I was in a big bear hug and could fall asleep right then and there. The gentleman that helped me at the Bowie store was nothing less than wonderful.. He was caring, kind and patient. He knew his stuff. He was able to help me with whatever question I had . I am happy and looking forward to a good...
