DC Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Bowie

This place is always clean and the food is fresh.I love the chicken here and the mixed veggies with plantain. I love my plantain moist and they have disappointed. I went here the other day after hearing from friends it was good. I opted for an unusual choice in a fast food place-their ceviche (marinated raw fish in lime juice and cilantro). I got the one with mixed seafood vs straight fish. It was good and a nice portion. There were 5 kinds of seafood, lots of cilantro and raw red onions. Muhc like I make it home made. This place is a sure shot. The sides are tasty, the staff is vibrant. The chicken is always juicy and made to order, at least everything I go there. The chicken quesadilla is not bad at all. I usually get the special which feeds a family of 4. The special comes with a 2 liter soft drink. I always ask for extra green sauce to add to future meals as my secret ingredient (I can't tell you all my secrets). This place never has a line but it takes some time to have the food prepared so don't be in a rush. Always a good place to stop into when I don't want to cook. I'll have to try more items...

This place was new to us and had gotten so many good reviews, we had to try it. The menu is posted above the area where they assemble the orders, very straight forward with prices. They also offer savings on package deals. We opted to do a whole chicken (cut up) with fried rice and green beans. The wood roasted rotisserie chicken was fantastic, very flavorful and moist.
