Go To Burgers — Restaurant in Bowie

I went to this restaurant tonight after seeing it had a 4.9 star rating out of 100 reviews. I now understand why such a disappointing restaurant has a 5 star average; it's because they confront you to rate them 5 stars on Google if you dine in.

To recap my visit... I enter at 7pm to a hollow looking store with 3 other guests in the lobby waiting on their to-go orders. I place my order of a cheeseburger combo meal (adds fries and a bottled soda). Total is about $17 before my tip. I grab my soda from the dilapidated fridge and laugh a bit to myself to see it's out of date by a couple weeks, not something I'd usually care about. I wait about 15-20 minutes and my food is ready. I take a moment to wash my hands in their neglected restroom which looks like it hasnt been mopped in weeks and return to eat. The portion size of the burger is fine, and tastes about as good as any other burger place. The fries are from-frozen, nothing special. As I finish my meal and am the last one remaining in the lobby one of the two employees asks me,

"The food was good? Rate us 5 stars on Google. What's your name? I will wait for your review to show up."

That's when I realize why the restaurant is rated average 5 stars. I oblige and say "Oh yeah everything was great, I'll do that" and post a quick review just to resume eating my meal and not begin a conversation as I eat. He watched it update, reads my name off, and as I'm leaving asks me to bring my whole family next time. I roll his comments off with positive responses and put my trash away. I see dozens of gnats fly from the trash can as I drop my food in. I think to myself "lovely, I wish I had seen that before deciding to order here" and make it to my car before deleting my review and posting this one.

In summary, if you're considering going here because of the high star average- consider it fraudulent. Any company that asks you to post a 5 star review and waits for you to do it while still in their lobby should...

This places needs to be investigated ! Please avoid this place. You will walk in and see a creepy looking dude with a dirty white tee shirt. You won’t even feel comfortable with this man making your food. Food was very unsanitary. I got sick 5 minutes after this and meal and I only took 1 bite and didn’t even swallow it. When I bit in my burger I almost threw up. It tasted like spoiled milk and was super greasy. Fries didn’t have a pinch of salt on them and tasted like old grease. I don’t even think a rat would eat this food if it had a chance. He also told me he doesn’t do sauce to the side because everything is fresh. That doesn’t even make sense. I immediately took it back and asked for a refund and he had a hidden no refund sign behind the menu. I asked to use the bathroom and he tells me if I don’t have to go bad he won’t open it. The owner will convince you that the food is good and will keep telling you that no other place out here has fresh food like them. He’s lying. And all the good reviews are fake ! No one even comes in this place when you visit it will be completely empty and he gets super happy when he gets customers because it doesn’t happen often. This place is a scam. And also he wanted me to leave while he cooked. That’s weird. He also told me that there was something wrong with my tastebuds. This man is very creepy and I’m starting to think the burger that he gave me wasn’t really a burger. This place is creepy and disgusting. Avoid at all cost. He also has 3 flat screen tvs and 2 couches. For what ? This isn’t a hangout spot that people comes to. How do you have money to spend on that but not customer service or good food. Something is off...

I came here just to look at the menu and see if there was anything I would be interested in. While entering, I was immediately greeted with such a cheerful and positive attitude. The customer service here is stellar and will be one of the reasons I go back.

I inquired about the Greek Lamb Burger so that I may try something beyond Chicken and Beef and Veggie burgers, and I personally enjoyed all the freshness and flavors that came from the Greek Lamb Burger. The burger is definitely delicious, and I plan to order it again and other items on the menu to experience what they all taste like.

I did eat it on the go and shared it with a few people around me, and we all enjoyed it. One of my favorite things when exploring places to eat at is the lengthy menu. I enjoy variety and choices beyond just a sandwich and fries. I like that there is Kosher hot dogs since I don't eat pork even though people who typically come with me do, so that's a plus. Also, I love love love when breakfast is served all day because I enjoy breakfast for dinner. So that is what excited me as well.

The restaurant was clean and the service was awesome. I appreciate the staff for their pleasant and welcoming demeanor. If you're searching for variety and enjoy a lunch deal, then I say give this place a try and see how you enjoy your personal experience.
