When you walk in, you have to walk through the seating area to get to the register to be sat, which is a little odd. Setting a podium and a hostess at the door would be more welcoming. The seating is a bit tight, but the candles and the fresh lavender at the table was a perfect touch, creating a great ambiance. As my daughter would say, it’s giving! The artwork, the layout, and the hanging field of purple flowers are reminiscent, almost like you’re really in Italy. No I’ve never been but I’m sure it is a lot like this! Lol. As I waited for my appetizer, The manager, Danny, walked to every table and asked how everybody was doing however, he skipped my table altogether. He was kind to everyone and spoke to all the guests, asking how everything was going, it seemed by the cordial smiles and gratitude, everyone was satisfied. My server delivered to me bread in silence with oil, it was soft but unremarkable . While I added oil to my bread and took a few more bites, two other servers were upfront eating ice cream out of the glass case. I am assuming they got a new flavor however they probably should take samples to eat in the back. Danny the owner and manager, served my appetizer, which was calamari. It was perfectly fried, not overly oily and the sauce that was paired with it was a tangy delight. As I took the second to last bite the server came and asked how it was. If I could give any advice, it would be to the server who seemed quite distracted, that when anyone serves the table, going over within the first few bites is recommended, just in case. Lemon would have put the calamari over the top. However, she noticed my drink was empty and she did refill it. Another tip would be to refill the drink when it is half full. That way the customer never runs out. Sorry I just like to teach, and most of the staff seem quite young. I’m sure most of these tips will help someone. Then once again, Danny delivered my main entrée, which was chicken Parmesan, this by far is what saved anything that had gone wrong previously with service because it was the best chicken I think I’ve ever devoured in my life. (The server never even came over to ask how it was.) The service may have not been subpar, but the crispy Parmesan crust, melty mozzarella cheese, herbal fresh sauce, and juicy tender, perfectly cooked chicken was beyond any chicken Parm I have ever experienced at any Italian restaurant that I’ve ever eaten at, hands down this dish was way better than Olive Garden or Carrabba‘s Italian. There also was a large spaghetti serving with sauce, but I honestly am not a noodle fan. I am not for sure if there is something they can substitute it for, however, since it was my first time there, I didn’t think to ask, so I just packed them up in a to go container and took them home to my noodle loving daughter. This place is a bit expensive but it was definitely worth it! Since it was my first time, I feel like I probably should give it another chance on service because you never know what could have been going on that day to cause it to be below average. I will update this when I try some more of their delectable dishes. I am praying their service will be 100% better. So to anyone who is questioning if they should come here or not, they should! And if you’re nervous about the service, just order it to go! My camera was messed up, so I will add this picture, but I hope to add better pictures...

Simply delightful surprise to be received so warmly without a reservation on a Saturday evening. This place has a binary floorplan. One side is tight with booths and tables and don't count out the bar if you're hoping to focus on the person you're with. They will benefit by adding a more diverse offering of gin. They also have another room that has a warm vibe and limited artwork that each make their own impact. Loved it. As a test, I asked for my usual gin and tonic that's heavy on the G and light on the T. In my opinion if my server can't pull that off then they've got some recovering to do. Devon hit a home run for me. An added bonus was the personal attention we received from the owner and chef, Danny. Not surprisingly he was quite personable. He also seemed genuinely pleased to see us as new patrons. They make the easy cocktails, and they also have some specialities that are worth checking out. Danny's has an uncomplicated straightforward menu that is well-balanced by several specials for the evening. I had a seafood risotto that was truly a 5-star serving. Our table service was polite, informative, and efficient. Wifey and I spend a lot of time together anyway but being catered to as a couple certainly brings a little extra. Danny's can handle big crowds, and it's also a really wonderful place to take someone special. I usually post pictures of different servings and drinks but tonight I just wanted to slide back into the early 1990s and just be present with my girl. This is a great place to do just that. Also, this is a great place for birthdays! While we were there, two different groups were celebrating birthdays. This place is filled with happy people who work there and joyful people who eat there. Bowling Green has another option for Italian cuisine. Wifey says Danny's offers a chef's talent and experience when it comes to plating a meal. Their servings are unique. Give them a try. We'll be back. Next time I'm bringing a business partner and his wife. Can't wait to see the Wowzah on...

Danny’s Italian exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for an incredible meal.

We started with the calamari and arancini, both perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The calamari was crispy and tender, while the arancini had a deliciously creamy center with just the right amount of seasoning.

For our mains, we enjoyed the chicken parmigiana—a classic with a crispy, golden crust and rich marinara sauce. The Neapolitan wood-fired pizza was another highlight, with its perfectly blistered crust and fresh, high-quality toppings. The prawn scampi was light yet flavorful, with perfectly cooked prawns in a delicious garlic and white wine sauce.

We ended the meal on a high note with the bombolini and they were absolutely divine! These little Italian doughnuts were perfectly golden on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. Served warm, they had a delightful melt-in-your-mouth texture that made each bite irresistible.

The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Every dish felt authentic and crafted with care. If you’re looking for a fantastic Italian meal in BG, Danny’s is the place to go! We’ll...

Dynamite! 100% cannot say enough good things about this place! Hands down the most authentic italian fine dinning experience anywhere around. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food is incredible and a bargain for what you get! I travel a lot for work and I can say in my many years of being an amateur food snob, this place rivals and beats a lot of big city 5 star resturants. The decor is quaint and gives a solid at home vibe and the owner is dedicated and inviting. Spends the whole time bouncing back and forth from the kitchen to talking with every customer in the place making sure they are as enjoying thier time and meals. I will also say make sure to save room for the signature cocktails there, as the bartender was a fantastic human being! And do not skip the deserts. I suggest taking some friends and sharing all them. I've been back 4 times already and every experience leaves me with the hard set choice of figuring out which one I'm going to end the night with.

You know the scene in Ratatouille when the chef takes a bite then closes his eyes and grips the table? We’re almost there with Danny’s Italian. As I write this there are only a few reviews because the place has only been open for three weeks, but all the reviews were five star and it’s easy to see why — it’s delicious authentic Italian food. Calamari was cooked and flavored perfectly and came with marinara with a deep smoky flavor. Excellent combination overall. Pizza is delicious and cooked in a wood-fired oven. The house salad (easy to become an afterthought especially in take out) was very tasty. And the tiramisu was not overly sweet and a perfect ending. Minor suggestions: the pizza could’ve used just a slight crispness on the edge. The tiramisu, just a bit more boozy and coffee flavor and you’ll have a legitimate home run! Someone here is paying attention to the ingredients and execution and it shows! Highly recommend.
