I won't be too brutal. I love this place. Honestly only one hiccup but it was kind of an important one. I do not mind adapting to the new covid norm - I appreciate those efforts. For the most part they did everything correctly and as safely as they've been trained to do so.
We did not mind the wait after a 12hr drive because we do not have these by us; and we were simply passing by with 6 more hours ahead of us yet.
Awesome waitress and service from the start. Amazing starter etc. So yummy. Unfortunately we were at a hightop under the AC. What do you know its me that gets dripped on, my head, pants, shirt sleeve throughout the night. I kept sliding over trying to get out the way. I love this place but thats an area of concern. Not a big deal however if it would have dropped in my water I would have been livid. But we push forward.
The main thing when all our food came out my wife my kids etc. Followed by mine... I simply ordered medium-well filet. It looked amazing. I cut it and it was beyond raw with juices running into garlic mash with a cold raw center. No big deal. I've been in this industry I get it, but I also despise sending my food back. Reluctantly I did. Another 20 minutes they brought the same steak back and pretty much seared where I cut still keeping a raw center. I'm normally a little more voice opinionated but honestly the young manager lady was on top of it all... Super fast. Understanding. And down to business. All I wanted was a medium wellish filet - but she comped the meal. Never asked for this but great call on her part. I might had tried to roll with it if it wasnt so rare nor $24.99
I finally asked if they could simply start over at this point. I could tell they put a press on it and this time they nuked it beyond well done. I smiled and told her it was great. Bless her heart. Esp since a table on other side of us then had issue with a rare steak as well. Smh. We were exhausted; my wife and 3 kids had all finished their meals and we were waiting on poor ol' dad who chose this place. They were aggrevated and I don't blame them. I was just simply hungry. All and all we were taken care of but that shouldn't had to of happen and unfortunately we may never have a reason to come back by here.
**One notable thing was a server or cook using the facilities as in the sit down stall only to notice coming out with his same apron on. And in pretty positive he only rinsed his hands but then I saw him delivering water and running food. This is unfortunate as I cringed and being safeserve certified this is truly unacceptable at any time but esp during what is going on in the world today. I was quite appalled and had spoke to my wife before our issues occurred. I don't think this is nothing that cannot be fixed but certainly needs to be addressed. Never know whose watching and we owe it to our customers to not have them second guess question or even have the thought in fear of what if... I know some messed up things go on in a kitchen and I am quite cautious and very selective where I take my...
Read moreAverage at best and compared to several really good options within a quarter mile I think they fall short. We got the hot chicken tenders they were not really hot nor tender. I will say I love their croissants sweet and flaky such a nice change from rolls or bread. Cut one open get the buffalo chicken strips add them into the croissant with some blue cheese or ranch maybe even the celery stick and you have just created a better sandwich than anything they have on the menu. The nachos were of good size but very gloopy and just a mash of bean and tomato flavor with nothing standing out. The Frisco Salad was wholly disappointing. Nothing tasted like anything but water. Perhaps they forgot the tarragon vinaigrette. It sounded delicious but it was not discernible in the salad. The artichokes were few and again little flavor. Basically just watery lettuce with the occasional hit of generic grilled chicken. Given that they have "bar" in the name I was really disappointed that the drink menu consists of 4 maybe 5 drinks all painfully basic, essentially a whiskey sour, vodka lemonade, gin and tonic, and marg: just with slightly different names. Nothing fun or creative. The beer menu is a little better but nothing local on tap. I think there are a few local cans. The wine pour looked large at least. The patio is very nice with fire pits and ample shade in the summer. Service for us was also really good. Parking is ample and they don't...
Read moreWow! We were traveling on a 14 hour drive to our destination and needed a nice dinner to break up the last few hours of the trip. My husband did a search and found this place. It did not disappoint!! A little noisy but a warm friendly atmosphere. Their signature Mason jar drinks from the bar are so good!! And they are so potent they only allow you two of them!! BIG Mason jars!! I couldn't even finish mine. Our server, Clay, was on top of it and provided excellent service!! But the best was the food and large portions (which I can never finish). I ordered the open face prime rib sandwich thinking I could finish it. I was wrong. I think the hunk of prime rib was the same size as any other restaurant would serve for their main prime rib dinner. I had to stop eating the bread and fries to have any chance of finishing. And I still didn't finish. My husband had the bacon cheese burger. Which was the same price as any other burger on the menu. They were all 12.99. So pick one with all the topings!!!! He loved that the bun was well formed and held its shape despite the thick, juicy burger. And the produce was fresh and crispy. And the fresh home made fries that we bothh had, were crispy and tender at the same time. You can't go wrong with this place. And as I write this, my husband is still trying to finish what's left of my...
