Everett's — Restaurant in Boyne Valley Township

I am sharing my experience because I am outraged at the way I was treated by the woman who runs the restaurant. I was sat down by a hostess who explained the location of the buffet and grill. I was handed a menu with ONLY drink prices, if I wanted some alcohol. As me and my fiance are eating our breakfast a waitress comes to inform us that the breakfast may or may not be included in our room price. I am shocked because I was sat under the impression that this was complimentary. Considering the hostess mentioned NOTHING of an additional fee and neither did the menu they handed me. When I received my bill of $60.00 for troth style buffet food I was dumbfounded. I reached out to the woman running the restaurant of my situation and she said there's nothing she could do. That we had already ate said "food" and she's a business owner she can't not charge us. After all we settled the dispute by paying half. I feel as if I was bait and switched into this situation. I see a lot of complaints about this place but we really enjoyed it. Keeping with the lodge feeling, a nice little restaurant and bar right off the main lodge and just a short walk from the rest of the resort. Full bar service, descent menu, good service. We each had one of the "Bowls" and they really hit the spot. Great portion size, just right. I believe there is a brunch but we did not partake.

Most of the complaints I've seen are about the price of the food. Now listen people, you are not only paying for the food and drink itself but you are paying for the resort and the ski hills and the waterpark and all the other amenities included at Boyne. If you can't understand that things are going to be a little expensive at such an expansive resort, you should probably stay at the Motel6 and cart yourself...

Not that impressive for the price. Came with a large group and not one of us was satisfied with the food. I had the Bison meatloaf (pictured) and whatever they ground up/mixed in with the bison to make the meat loaf tasted fatty and almost like spam. Green beans and mashed potatoes were good though. Two in my party ordered the Lobster Roll which tasted like tuna fish. Another in my party ordered the fish tacos which they didn't even bring to the table until we were asking for a check (they totally forgot to make it). The best meals were the kids meals.
