I’ve been here a few times and service was bad each time. The last time was the worse. I don’t remember my server’s name, but it was only two letters. KG or something. She has been my server 2 out of the visits and it was bad 2 out of the 3 times. During my last Happy Hour visit, I order 2 items. I wanted to order something else and there was 10 minutes left for Happy Hour. I asked another server to have her come order so that I may order something else on happy hour. She came by and said that she’ll be right back. She came back with about one minute to spare. As she puts in my order, she says “oops happy our is over and the button disappeared”. Then proceeds to ask me, what would I like. She says that she can’t do anything and that it’s automatic. I work in the restaurant industry and know that she can’t fix that, especially since I was trying to make the order, well before it was over. I said, “nothing now”.
Fast forward, I had my wine covered because there are gnats flying around the place. Now, this restaurant hasn’t been opened long enough to acquire these bugs, unless they really are not cleaning the back. Whether they been in business for long or not, these gnats should not be around unless it is unclean. The bug gets into my wine, which I’ve had two sips from. I notify her, and she finds it necessary to tell me that she can only pour the same amount. As if I’m trying to get two free sips of wine. If anything, I should be poured a fresh full glass for my inconvenience. I had to wait a while to even get her attention and make her aware. The least she could have done was pour me a full glass for my inconvenience. Her hospitality in the restaurant industry is nonexistent.
Finally, once I had a friend tell me about their experience with her, I knew there was a problem and decided that I needed to provide this review. I never said anything to my friend, but they just wanted to share with me, the horrible service they received. That’s when I shared my story with them and confirmed that I must write this review. I generally skip making a bad review and would rather write good things about a restaurant. I just hope I can have a good experience because I was initially excited to have a Ramen Lab,...
Read moreMy husband received an email yesterday that Ramen Lab is opening today, 11/14. It looked like fun and the kids were excited to go. I left work a little early so we can be there at 5. My boy was exited to see what prizes the first 50 patron would receive. We arrived shortly after 5. We obviously made it, yay! Party consist of me and my 3 children. We ordered 3 drinks, some apps and entree from the happy hour menu and 2 bowls of ramen from the regular menu. The Tonkatsu was solid and the eldest said it was very tasty. However, second son did not like his bowl of Kimchi and Fried Chicken Ramen and was disappointed. The apps we ordered were pretty good.
So here comes my Karen moment. My kids each received a tee shirt and sunglasses. The kids were happy. But, I received nothing. I know this sounds petty. But it felt like I was discounted as a human or an individual because I have children? Each patron before and after us ALL received a "prize". I see others with umbrellas and other items. So why was I treated differently? Am I being penalized for bringing kids? This is not about getting a prize. It is about unfair treatment. Anyway, I can't say we had a great time. Besides the Tonkatsu and edamame, we packed up most...
Read moreI've been a loyal fan of Ramen Lab since the very beginning, having visited all of their locations. I’m thrilled they’ve opened a Boynton location — it’s much closer to home, and it absolutely lives up to the high standards I’ve come to expect. The décor, food, and ambiance are all top-notch, creating a dining experience that feels both welcoming and memorable.
One of the things I love most is how the menu has evolved beyond just ramen, offering a variety of creative and flavorful dishes. Some of my personal favorites include the Katsu Curry, Miso Ramen, Red Curry Ramen, Bao Buns, Nanban Chicken, Gyoza, and most recently, the incredible Miso Seabass Yakitori. Every visit is a flavorful adventure, and I’m always excited to see what new creations they’ll introduce next.
I also want to give a special shout-out to Abby, our server, and Danny? (he was part of the ownership family), the bartender, for their outstanding service. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu made the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent food paired with great service is a winning combination, and Ramen Lab nails...
