Before ever going to The Garage we have heard they have good food but terrible service. After two attempts of trying to eat here we have experienced the bad service but was never able to order food. First attempt: waited half an hour to be seated, no biggie. After being seated for over 20 minutes nobody ever came to our table or even acknowledged we were there. I got up and found an employee and let them know we have been waiting and are ready to order. They said someone would be with us shortly. Waited another 15minutes, still no one had come to our table since we had been seated. I got up and asked another employee if we could place an order and again we were told someone will be there shortly. After waiting another 15 minutes and no one coming to take our order we walked out. On the way out the girl that had seated us asked how dinner was, I told her she was the last employee to be at our table and we were never able to order anything, no apology or nothing, just "wow, you've been here for over an hour. " Second attempt: there was no wait and we were seated promptly. Waited about 15 minutes and no one had come to our table, worried we would have the same experience as the last time, I did not want to wait any longer and got up to ask an employee if someone was going to take our order. They said the kitchen just closed and no longer taking orders. It seemed there was no communication among the employees and this created a lack of...
Read moreI've been going to The Garage for years, and it's always been excellent. Their food is fresh, delicious, and cooked with true grilling skill. They have the best ribs in town, if you ask me. I'd order them every time, except there's so many excellent burgers and veggies on the menu too. The pulled pork sandwich is spot on. The veggie tray never disappoints. The salads are actually filling, not the typical iceberg lettuce types you get at a lot of other restaurants. The Clam Chowder is some of the best I've eaten (in Montana that is, don't want to knock the true New Englanders out there). I always get great service from people who are actually happy at their job. Makes me feel great on top of stuffed with delicious food. The Garage is hands down one of the best places to eat in Bozeman, and I highly suggest you check it out if...
Read moreA year ago I would have rated The Garage as excellent-The Best Burger in Bozeman. But not knowing any other way to possibly get the management/owners attention I must say my last four meals have been extremely disappointing. 3 times a 454 burger was ordered mediun and three times a med well to well completely dry, shrunken burger specimen was given to us. As a last try I ordered one med rare that time 3/4 was in the range of med-well and a small spot of faint redness buried in one end. I and my family have eaten her dozens of times throughout the years and recommended it to easily a hundred or more relatives and visitors. I am sad to say this but unless I hear that a chef has been properly trained on meat temperatures, I as well as our families and friends, will spend no more of their monies...
