Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Branson

Tourist trap... if I could give a negative star rating I would. Firstly, expect some of the worst service. Before we were seated, we had to wait 15 min with a pager when we could see (from the door) a completely empty bar and at least half adozen clear, empty tables. After we got seated (at one of the tables that had been empty since we'd walked in, it was another 5 min just to get menus and give our drink orders. When we finally flagged him down to order our food, as my wife was ordering, the waiter snatched her menu from her to correct what page her choice was on. The food itself took 45 minutes, much longer than expected for what they brought us, as all three of us had ordered easily assembled food (a salad, a sundae, and a sandwich) none of which needed to be cooked after the order and it was wrong when they brought it out (though the waiter insisted that we must have been mistaken about our own order because he was sure it was right) even though he read it back to us correctly during the ordering time. The menu was misleading, listing ingredients that were nowhere to be found and inaccuracies in how small or large some of the items were. Near the end, when our waiter finally brought the bill folder out, there was no receipt in it, just the empty folder. It took ten minutes for him to come back for it, then he turned around and tried to accuse us of hiding the ticket or not putting it back in the folder. We stopped her for my birthday while we were in Branson. I honestly wanted the birthday dessert, as I have not had it in about 10 years due to relocation. Service started out ok, and food came out in an appropriate time. The sides were cold, burnt ends were so tough you could not bite through them. well, as my daughter's ribs seemed to.way over cooked. Our server replaces our sides and meat, not a huge deal, as we almost all got more than one meat. This is what really made me mad during this stop. We were sitting and enjoying our drink and just talking, and our server came and just dropped the check at the table. She also never even asked if we needed anything else. No word said, we waited about 15 minutes and she didn't come back, finally told my husband I no longer wanted my desert and I wanted to leave. After a few more minutes, we got her flagged down to get my card to pay. We waited another 5 minutes for her to return with my card, which wasn't a big deal but when she arrived back she was carrying another tables meals. Hands extremely full, she dropped my card, and it slid next to another table a few tables away. She stood there and talked to the for another few minutes before even trying to grab my credit card that she had dropped on the floor where anyone could have picked it up. I was SOOO excited to eat here, 1st time, and visiting Branson. Got here tonight with my 13yr old son for his Archery Tournament. I love Famous Dave's Pickles and couldn't wait to try his food!!

There were lots of empty tables, but our wait was 25 mins. Not sure why... especially when a few tables just left.

We decided to just get a to go order.. my son got chicken strip with Fries and cheese curd app... $10 for curds, MAYBE 10 curds in box!!! 3 Chicken strips and a tiny handful of fries.

I got pick 1, beef brisket, she told me it was 7oz of meat. I said thats alot, right? She said its quite a bit.. it looked to me like 2oz of meat.. and I also got fried pickles, and I kid u not, it was NOT AN ORDER you'd expect!!! Im hoping to be able to share pics with you!

She wasn't very polite... and everytime I asked a question, she acted as if I was a regular.. who in BRANSON is A REGULAR?? I asked about sauces, she made me feel stupid.. I asked about menu& what the potato salad was made of... she made me feel incompetent!

I asked for extra sauces and all she gave us was 1 spicy and 2 sassys.. for 2 meals??

She hands us bag, I ask if all the sauces were in bag, she responds with sass! And quickly rambles off everything in bag.. like really.??

My bill was $47... and u have attitude?!?!
