So, this just happened. My wife orders a pizza from our favorite pizza place; Marcos. The order was placed at 6:17P with an estimated arrival of 6:54P. The app stated that at 7P the pizza was otw. At 7:18P, I called and spoke to a manager, William who said initially said the pizza had been delivered and asked what was my issue. I explained that we haven’t received it and then he says oh the drivers there now. You’ve probably figured there no driver anywhere in sight. Then William says oh we left notes on the account to have the pizza dropped at my door and that’s what was wrong. Correction William, we left no such instructions to do so. Then surprisingly, William says oh it hasn’t been delivered yet…😳, let me call the driver. After being on hold for 5m, William returns to tell me the driver should be pulling up. That he’s new and took the pizza to the wrong address. Then he says he had to come back and get it and he’s issuing a complimentary dinner to us. Finally, the bell rings! It’s the driver, who immediately apologizes for Marcos being short on drivers. I take the order, but wait… William said he took the wrong pizza to the wrong house. What a surprise to us, we open the box and there’s Parmesan sprinkled on the pizza and throughout the box, not to mention there’s a slice pulled away from the pie. The salad is in a bag, with the lid off completely (could’ve happened in transport) not my call. This was absolutely the worse experience and lack of accountability, extreme carelessness and dishonest service I believe I have ever experienced. Read moreOrdered a pizza for delivery with cheese sauce rather than red sauce, and it showed up as just the crust and meat. No sauce, no cheese, just bread and loose pieces of meat. My young son who was unaware this was not what we ordered, had grabbed a slice and took a bite out of it, only to be confused as to where the cheese was. Rather than return a slice with a bite taken out of it, I threw it away. Shortly after I drove to the store for a refund and when I attempted to return the pizza or exchange it for what I ordered, the manager got angry and only agreed to return 80% of the money paid because one slice was missing. Rather than argue with this man child of a man easily going on 40 yet still working an entry level position of a teenager on their summer break, I took the money and left. I'm rarely one to complain or leave bad reviews but this specific manager, and the immature and unnecessary way that he handled a relatively simple situation, really left a bad taste in my mouth. Props though to the actual teenagers working there that were very respectful and mature that attempted to make the situation right until this useless excuse of a individual, stumbled in and decided to apply a resolution in the same manner in which he's most obviously approached towards his life choices up to that point, with a customer that was only there due to his incompetence in the first place.
All that said, if you are craving pizza, do yourself a favor and hit up any of the other way better pizza chains in the area. Or at least one that doesn't hire adults who have difficulty controlling their rage levels over their own inability to follow...
Read moreSomething’s not adding up here. I was driving back from the city and knew it’d be hard to find a place open until 11pm on a week night… to my surprise Marcos was! Well.. at least according to their google hours, oh and their website where I placed my online pickup order for 10:45pm.
To my surprise I showed up at 10:43 to what looked like a completely shutdown/closed store (it’s clear all the closing work had been done, and who knew how long my pizza was sitting for). The dude at the counter cut right to business to charge me for the pizza, and seemed annoyed when I asked about adding on a dipping sauce. Before I could even pick my pizza up from the counter he TURNED THE LIGHTS OFF ON ME…. Like seriously? You couldn’t have waited 2 more mins for me to walk out the door? Then proceeded to leave right after me at 10:50pm-ish… when they’re open until 11pm right?
As someone who works in the industry, I know it sucks when a customer comes in during the last hour but if you want to have a successful store (and get tips) then you suck it up and give good (or at least decent) service.
As for the food, it’s what you’d expect from a massive fast-pizza chain, not bad but not...
