Welcome to Brattleboro, Midnights. Great vibes in here. Pulled up at the tail end of eclipse-mania weekend, and I’m glad to report this new bar has weathered the storm of its opening well. Beers on tap, cocktails, and a $5 per hour pool table round out the cash-only experience. They’ve also got a coffee station for round the clock hospitality, at least from 12 to 12. Bartender and owner Evangeline (like the Longfellow poem) served us up a few cold ones, and full disclosure, is offering a $5 well drink in exchange for writing this review. Midnight’s is outstanding among its peers. In a desolate wasteland of atmosphere midnight’s rises above the smoke and carnage and answers the call of thirsty Brattleborans for refreshment in a safe, welcoming environment with a pool table, dartboard and outstanding service. everything you could want in a bar garnished with polite, friendly service and local charm. What an amazing place! I brought my pups, one of which is seen in the photo, and they got along great with Penny, the house dog seen in the background. Good beer, a pool table, darts, and video games! They don't have a kitchen, but they have some bites. And Evangeline, the owner, is an absolute sweetheart! We will be back! ...
