Tulip Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Brattleboro

We were weekly patron prior to Covid and enjoyed the staff. We recently decided to try it again we were not has happy with the staff. The food is still delicious but the staff is unfriendly and today was do right rude. I do understand that restaurant generally do not allow drinks from other places in their restaurants. Get it! When one of the staff addressed this issue with us my wife left. I asked if she would like to go somewhere else and she said ok. I walked back in to pay for the espresso I order. Apologized to the host and understood. Their response was we serve what you are drinking. This was not the case because Tulip does not make a chai. The host then responded that this a a thing with all restaurants and he did not understand why “Brattleboro people think they can do what they want”. I did not respond and finished paying. I started to walk to the door and the host said “don’t bother coming back”. My response was “ don’t worry that’s not happening” and left. Food is...

Decided to stop into this small restaurant in Harmony Parking lot for lunch today. Food was average service was poor at best. But to my astonishment I witnessed one of the most unprofessional displays of conduct by employees that I have ever seen. I witnessed two employees that I had seen working while eating lunch exit the building and scream at a business professional whom works right next to them on the sidewalk for asking them not park in designated spots politely. They subsequently peeled out right there in front of their own establishment and flew across the parking lot at traveling speeds. Not only were there actions rude and uncalled for, they were also reckless and endangering to anyone in the parking lot. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone based upon that conduct and they only received the one star rating because you cannot post a review...

This place has lots of potential being in a central location. It's a shame inside the store is run so porely. It's obvious these 5 star reviews are biased.

We went in for lunch and waited 10 mins after seating ourselves for service. We couldn't help but notice the disorganization prevelent in the store with only 50% of the seating taken. The vibe was chaotic. Not chilled at all for a coffee shop.

Our coffee cups were dirty and the cup didn't match the saucer. I know that's not much to complain about but small details like that people notice. Our crepe was cold. We waited for 15 mins to ask for our check and it came out wrong. Two items we ordered we not on the check.

Waitress staff we clearly overwhelmed with no obvious sense of direction or leadership. Witnessed two couples walk out while waiting for service. With only half the seating taken!!
