Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Brea

Peace and love to you beautiful patriots, let me start by saying I normally love my encounters at Chick-fil-A... This visit was a bit different. I'm normally never in a rush but after going to lunch late because I love my work I found myself trying to hurry back so o used the drive thru to obtain a Cobb salad with extra egg and a small fry. I get my food and pull off only to notice I didn't receive my extra egg so I turned around and went back to show them I order extra egg and would like to get that before I began devouring this salad. Well the guy who was sweeping stopped and said he'd be able to get my an extra egg and walked to the back, it took him a while so I'm hoping he was washing his hands then he comes out the back with a container with an egg in it. Now this satisfied me until I get to the car and see that it's only half an egg. I don't know if that's the policy but if the original said comes with 1 egg I'd only assume that to purchase an extra egg your get a whole one so this rubbed me the wrong way. Placed my order at 12:28pm right when I clocked out for lunch at work. I arrive to this Chick Fil A location around 12:40 expecting my order to be done or nearly finished only to find out, it hasn’t even been started on. Before finding this out, I had already been standing in front of the counter for a few minutes and not one employee asked if they could help me. Finally, I’m asked if I’m picking up an online order which I respond to by saying “Yes” which right there and then the lady had explained to me that even though I placed my order online I still have to “check in” first in person for my order to get worked on. Okay fine but if that’s the case then what’s the point in even placing an order online if I’m just gonna have to wait in line anyways? Why would Chick Fil A put “We’ll start your order before you arrive” and not start it until I get there?
